Chicken Egg :)

Well as you may know if you breed a cow its offspring has a chance of having from 0-4 hearts, but if you buy it the cow will have 0 hearts. So my question is about the chickens, if I incubate a chicken egg does it have the chance of having 0-4 hearts? Or will it start out as 0. If it starts at 0 hearts its more profitable to just buy a new chicken because they lay eggs immediately.

Well, i'm not sure, but all the chicks that were born on my farm had no hearts.

I really need to know, And I don't have the time to prove this hypothesis. Does anyone know if it happens like that or not?

If you need an immediate right now answer, I'd suggest pm cher, or trying to catch her on the hm helper chat thing on
here She's probably the only one who's truly certain.
I mean sure chickens don't cost that much. But they don't take that long to grow to adulthood, so I don't see why hatching your own chicks is that bad an idea.

Well thats if you have space in your coop, I already have 4 grown chickens. I don't want to upgrade my coop yet.

So you have a full coop? I'm confused then as to why you need to know if they have the chance of having more than 0 hearts. Are you thinking ahead, to when those chickens die, and you want to know whether to buy a new one, or hatch one?

No. Lets say I upgrade my coop, is it more profitable to hatch a chick or to buy an adult chicken? The chicken takes like 3 seasons to give a " Good quality egg", but if I hatch it and the chick has ( lets say 3 hearts ) it will give me a " Good quality egg" in no time!

Ahh, okay I see what you're asking now. I still recomend pm'ing cherubae, She's probably the one who knows whether the chance exists more with more certainty.

No, they start out with no hearts, all 7 chickens on my farm started with no hearts.

Well, I remember reading Gamewinners, or Gamefaqs, and someone said if you add one of those heart symbols to the newborn chick's name, they will start out with a heart. But It should be fake, like most of the information on those sites.
So all of HMman's chickens and my chickens were born without any hearts, so, if there was a chance that a chicken could be born with a heart or two, it would be very small.

There's something like that in, I think the GBC 1 HM.

Either way your best bet is to just birth it yourself. Sure you'll have to wait a while but at least you wont have to pay for it, and while it's groing it will gain FP anyway.

you can put a heart at the end of the animal's name (if u incubated or if the cow/sheep is pregnant) they start with 1 heart and go straight to the next lvl

The UNoT forum can be very active, especially during the time period when new Harvest Moon games are released. Topics that have not been replied to in 10 day or longer are considered to be "finish" and no new replies are required. If you bring an old topic back among the active topics, it causes confusion for other users who are trying to get help, especially since topics over 10 days are usually no longer relevant.
If you bump an old topic back to the active list of topics then you will receive a warning. If you continue to reactivate old topics then your account will be banned.
