Anyone have any tips on how much to have Olive work and not hate you at the end? I even tried giving her a full year of mostly vacation at the end to see, and she still told me I worked her too hard and sent her off too much. Bah!
Besides the actual statistics you need, other statistics will change if she's good at her job, a good person, bad, normal etc.
It depends on how high her morale and sin is. And for certain other jobs if she has a high constitution or conversation etc will make it if she's good at her job etc.
I might be getting a copy of Princess Maker 1 for the computer EEEK <3

By the way, I was curious, in the PM4, is she marrying the girls or dating or best friending them or what? I thought they looked really cute, either way. Just with the pics they can kind of be taken either way, ya know?
Man I really wanna go after the Risa ending though. That and the street performer and magician ones.
Really I think the ending art for PM4 is my favorite. She looks so happy in most of them, you know? Although I really like all of them.
In the first 3, (including LAW) she just doesn't look so happy.
I also was wondering, do you guys know the differences in the versions? I'm looking to buy all the region free ones I can (looks like that's just PSP and NDS atm) but there are several versions, such as a Special Edition for the NDS PM4, a First Release PM5 for the PSP, A Best Hits for PM1, as well as several "bargain versions."
Apparently there are PC versions but I can't find them....

PC versions are harder to find I've noticed.
There's only 2 PM4's I know of though? PM4 on the PC(or whatever else it was on)and DS. DS is the 'expanded' version of sorts but from what I recall it only has the visual novel sort of extra, you can pat your daughter's head and maybe one or two other things. So I guess the PM4 DS one is better(it's the one I play).
As for PM5 on PSP...I think the first release is just that, isn't it sorta like the "Best Hits" version of certain video games where it's just cheaper? I wouldn't know, I've put off buying PM5 for a bit till the price goes down or I have extra money.
As for PM1 I didn't know that was on PSP too? OMG. I've been looking in the wrong places? It was a rare instance to find PM1 on PC. I think I might have lost the bid, I gotta check.
Anyways the bargain ones are just that, cheaper ones I believe. I'm sorry if that doesn't help?

No that's a great help; thank you! I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't go buy a version with less content or something! Well, at least, as much as anyone could guess, ya know?
I don't know if there is PM1 for the PSP, if there is, I can't find it. But oh well.
Yeah it seems PM1 & 3 are very hard to find on the PC. Which is a bummer because 2 for PC (although that's the english beta, which I HEARD has actually a few missing parts, no idea if that is true though) is easy to find, as well as the NDS PM4 and the PSP PM5. PM1 seems to be out decently for the PS1/PS2, but PM3 is very, very hard to find on any console. (Although it also is known as Princess Maker: *insert Japanese tag here that seems to change to about 3 different names such as Fairy Daughter and Dreams Come True*.) It's really a bummer because 3 has my favorite daughter (yes I finally picked a favorite!).
I saw PM4 for the PSP out there as well. But yes, I believe the DS has 3 more endings (the three girl ones?), and the touch feature. It has some fewer voices than the PC version apparently, (the only one in it is the daughter's) but the other features make up for it I think.

In the three girl endings, your daughter falls in love with them.
Which has been cause for much frustration from people who do a lot of work to marry a certain prince, but because they ran into the girls too damn much, it didn't amount to anything in the end.
...I'm still angry and it's been three months. xD

Yeah I noticed a lot of Princess Maker searched also brought up "Cute Knight" which might be good, but either the one I know is a rip off, or the original actually does have horrible art in comparison to the PMs. (Hard to tell when I also saw a game with same cover on a Japanese website, but I also know of the cheapy dl one.)
Thank you so much for that list.
Also I believe there is a combo game. It says it's PM1 & 2 on some websites but if you look at the cover it's obviously PM 2 & 3, and it's for Dreamcast.
Also PM1 is available on PS2, I'm guessing as the "refine" edition?
Either way your list helps a lot. Looks like if I can find them, the ones I want are on systems other than PS2, but it's a bummer because I also want GoGo which is PS only.
On another note for all of you, which I may have said before, PM3 has a few different names. It also appears to be more readily available in Chinese than Japanese, sadly.
Anyway thank you so much for your help! Looking for these games is hard but so worth it!

I'm glad it helped a bit :3
I'm seriously thinking of buying PM5 for my PSP right now. I can't play PM4 forever.

Agreed.
I can't wait until I get a PSP, then I'll have 4 on NDS and 5 on PSP.
I really wish they'd put PM1,2, & 3 (mostly threeeeeeeee) on it though. I mean really, why not?
Then again I have bad luck of the third game in a series being the one I want most updated on a handheld and they never do it.

Oh wow I just got my hands on PM2 Refine, and it is SO MUCH BETTER than the English PM2 I had. It's worth sacrificing the cheats. Everyone has voices and look so much better! Olive is adorable! And has an awesome voice!
Wow I'm just in shock at how much better it all looks!
