Princess Maker LAW is still my fave which is odd since if you think about it it would be the worst of the series(it's a good game, I don't mean it's bad!), because it doesn't hold the same capabilities as the others as it's a SNES game. But it's the one I've played the most besides the second game.

Anyways as for Prince Maker, if anyone can actually get that to work tell me how, I always have it crash. So I deleted it.

As for Cute Knight, that's actually made by Hanako Games. It's a good game, but if you want it, get the Deluxe version. Think of it as Cute Knight Refine.

It's one of my fave games and I love Hanako Games stuff:

OMG

I JUST VISITED THE SITE.
THEY MADE A NEW CUTE KNIGHT AND IT LOOKS AMAZING.
I WANT IT
OMG

Hey, I just went to amazon.co.jp, and they have Pm1 & 2 for windows.

Can anyone tell me if these look like the Refine versions to you, or the old DOS ones? =/ Sadly I don't have Japanese language installed so I can't see for sure. I think these are the refine ones, though? But I can't find pictures of the covers to compare.

I really hope the URLs work lol.

Yeah refine is my guess too. Shipping probably atrocious but hey, the initial price isn't bad. Anyway I'll prob order them once I get money so I'll post back if they are refine or not. But it'll be a few weeks before I get money/the games arrive.

I just wish I could get a hold of pictures of the covers to compare....

Despite not being the refined one, being able to read it is important when it comes to games with a lot of text, such as this one.

Actually these games are said to be one of the better ones to play in Japanese, since it's easier to know what associates with what. Well, I've heard a few people say that, anyways. But I agree; knowing what is going on adds a lot to a game.

But I speak Japanese, a little. Always good to have games to practice with!

Anyway I finally got on my computer than can handle Japanese and yep, it says refine, is gorgeous, glorious, katakana! Yay for English cognates!

Also according to amazon.co.jp, it looks like they have all the games for PC, except no 3 is not in stock. I see a GoGoPrincess & Battle in a Little Pocket for PC, even!

I'm bidding on the third PM game for PS1. I hope I wiiiiin eeeet.

Actually there's a lot of people who don't understand Japanese, Korean or Chinese(there's different versions)yet they still play Princess Maker. With great help sites and patches for the games with menu and status screen translation it helps. I enjoy PM even though I'd enjoy it more to be able to fully understand it, but I have a vague idea.

It's fun raising your daughter and seeing what type of person she becomes.

Yeah but I use coughemulatorscough which I can just pop the disk in. Also my sister's boyfriend promised to mod all my systems for me as well. So it's win win. However coughemulationcough is the only way for me to play the PM1 game(If I win it 8D) because it's the PC Engine version. However I don't mind emulating to play the game. It's harder to come across actual pc versions of the game and it's actually pretty cheap for both games.

PM5 on PSP however is freaking expensive xD

LJMWS if you have a computer you can play the games. You can easily get PM2 in English in fact.

Yeah. Man, PM1 & 2 for PC (Refined) are in the 60-70 dollar range. But that's with tax included at least. Still it's nuts! Especially when it looks like the PM GoGo & battle in a little pocket are only like 15.

Oh yeah I looked at a system mod but it looked a bit out of my range. ^^; Esp since I have slim ps2 which means any mods I have to replace the covers for and yeah....

I actually had to look up PC-Engine to understand hahaha...

Best of luck on your bid! Personally I can't wait until the first, because I get money then, and I can get either PM 1 or 2 refined YAY. (Although I have to keep nagging my OWN Papa to find the windows instillation discs so I can read the Japanese! *Sighs*)

I hope yours goes well too. Don't forget to take screens of the refine ones when you get them if you can so I can see. I'll take screens of the one(s) I get too for you guys.

All right, I slapped a quick image together of the PM2 games, original & refine. You can see they didn't change much, but it still looks way better in my opinion. Plus I love Olive's pose!

The artwork is cleaned up in most areas, but the background stuff in the intro video and the title screen is the same. It looks like the little job/school sprite animations were cleaned up a bit, but I'm not positive. No idea yet if the ending pictures were cleaned up.

In addiction to the cleaned up pics, Refine also has improved music and voice acting. Olive's voice is adorable!

Also sorry I was in a hurry when splicing these pics together, so I ended up turning the resolution on the Refine Pics down, so they look a bit better in the actual game. Still I hope this helps a bit!

LJMWS the game is free, just find a good copy online and download it. xD
That's what freeware is 8D

Olive's new design is cute as is her pose. But I like the original's look a bit more I think. Overall though Refine is better because everything is brighter and looks better. I just like the shading look her hair has in the original xD
