WOW!@# thanks a bunches for all the information :3

i actually didnt see super mario galaxy somehow, in all my loooking. It looks fun so ill deffinatly put that on my must have list. I have Zelda: twilight princess for gamecube and it is prob one of my favorite games. i still play it now, even though i've had it since it came out in dec 2006. and im super excited for the new one. im gonna get harvest moon: animal parade but im trying to descide wether to get ToT aswell :/ i dont want to just like animal parade and never play the other one.
& I dont really have any other friends with wiis(since none of them are the gaming type) so it looks like animal crossing wont be good for me then? is there anything you can do online with random people or do you have to have friend codes? i did really love the one for gamecube but i was quite young then and i dont find it as fun to play it as i used to.
i loved all the other mario karts so i think ill get that one. im considering getting my sims kingdom maybe..
and have you heard if tales of symphonia: DotNW is good? i really liked the one for gc, so...
& ill deffinatly look into some of those other ones you mentioned.

&& With the virtual consoles.. i think you have to buy points? so how much money does it usually end up being to get one of those games?
& oo all the stuff with the wii sounds really cool. i didnt know wiis had so many features and stuff. (i did know about the gamecube games on wiis though :) )

Thanks alot, stardustandsunshine!! you've really helped alot. (sorry for all the questions :? )

That's okay--I kind of started it myself.

I've heard Tales of Symphonia: DotNW isn't as good as the GameCube ToS, but it still sounds like it's a fairly solid game. It got 7s and 8s out of 10 on GameFAQs.

I have ToT and am planning to get AP, too, but I imagine I probably won't play ToT much after AP comes out. ToT does have some advantages over AP, but they're fairly minor compared to the improvements of AP. Still, it is Natsume we're talking about, so I'm probably going to wait until the game has been out a bit, and any glitches/complaints/problems have been discovered, before I jump on the AP bandwagon. If I do get AP, I'm trading in my glitched copy of ToT for an unglitched one from Natsume.

I think LoZ: TP for the Wii is pretty similar to the one for the GameCube, except you can use Wii motion controls, which to me, don't seem to add much to the games.

You can't just do stuff online with random people. I'm not sure how the chat room works, since I've never used it, but for the actual games, yeah, you have to have friend codes. Of course, there are lots of other people out there in the same boat, so you can usually find plenty of people on GameFAQs who are willing to exchange friend codes. (BTW, just because someone has your code doesn't mean they can come over any time they want or stalk you. You have to invite them or give them permission.) Some games, like New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart, also have local multiplayer, which means the people you're playing with have to be right in the same room with you. They'll each need their own Wii-mote, which sell for around $40, although sometimes you can find them on sale for as little as $20 or $25, and a nunchuk if necessary, which you can find in most stores or on Nintendo's website for $20.

If you're not having much fun with AC for the GameCube, though, you probably won't like this one much better. It has a bit more to do, but the main reason people play it is to have their friends over. It gets repetitive pretty fast. I mostly got mine for my younger sister.

I think all of the Nintendo channels are free now. The Virtual Console and Wiiware games you'll have to have points for. You can buy point cards in pretty much any retail or electronics store, or you can use a credit or debit card to buy them right on your Wii if you have an Internet connection. Each 100 points costs $1. NES games are 500 points, SNES I think are 800, and I think N64 are 1200. Wiiware varies, but pretty much everything is between 500 and 1200.

While we're on the subject of money, some games require the Wii Motion Plus, which is sold separately from the Wii remote. It makes the Wii extra-sensitive to movements, which increases accuracy but also makes some games harder. Some games are compatible with it but don't require it. It's fairly new, though, so games more than a few months old won't need it. (None of the games I've mentioned are compatible with it, and I don't have one yet, myself.)

The Wii is kind of evolving as it goes along--another reason I don't think it's going to be replaced by a new console any time soon. There are still a ton of things that are being developed that weren't available at first. And probably a year from now there will be new things that we don't even realize are possible yet--like the Balance Board was unheard-of a year ago.

ah, i cant believe i didnt mention it before, but about the ds screen. if it looks like youre gonna have to be getting a new one and feel competent enough to disassemble the ds and put it back together, you can buy replacement touch screens online for 10-20 dollars. hell, you might even be able to find a locally owned game store (gamestop and chains will laugh at you or think youre mentally challenged so no chains!) that will replace it for you if you ask.
so replacing it yourself or looking into local game stores that does mods...much better than replacing an entire system :bunny:

I quite liked IoH. And you can stack and unstack items very easily in that game. Maybe what you didn't like about it was there wasn't too much of a plot...Since all you do is get people on the island get married and have a baby. I still enjoyed it though :)
