amazon and the uk
i've been debating if i can afford the game at the momment what with xmas round the corner. Well i knew that the game wont be released in the uk for some times so i would have to import it. I dont mind importing and a new ds game here would cost the same amount by time i pay importing charges so that a good things. The only thing that gets my goat is they are selling the walkthrough of this game on amazon.co.uk why bother when you cant get the game that easily. Grrrr sorry rant over its such a pain bein a HM fan and living in the uk

I'm also a HM fan and am playing RF1. (I assume you want the 3rd game?)
I understand some people just love to get things asap. I play less games but am more choosey about what I play these days.
I do wonder sometimes if imports are harming the British games industry? I know a DS cart works on any DS but for each US game you get, is a sales figure that doesn't get noted in the UK and thus it looks like there is no demand in the UK?
Don't get me started on fake games. I don't care about the extra cash in my pocket, I value my morals more.
There is only one instance where I am all for import and that is when the product will not get a UK release.

i never considered that, which is daft because it makes alot of sence. I'm very much like you, its not often u can find a decent game for the ds which is'nt aimed at to young an age. I really like these games cause they have that pick up and go feeling, if you havent played for a few weeks it does not have a big impact yet you can get really drawn back into it all over again.
I've never imported a game before as a mummy with a little one running around i dont get alot of time to play games anyway.
Thanks for making me aware of the importing thing, i was just annoyed that amazon uk would sell the walkthrough for sunshine island when the game wont come out here for years. Its teasing me lol

I think if the games were released in the UK sooner after the US release, then the whole importing problem would be a lot less damaging to the industry.
It's inevitable that people are going to get impatient, and if the option of importing is there, then people are most likely going to use it.
But I feel your pain, Totality. I live in the UK too. At least the waiting makes the game better once you buy it? :D
