Eventually I plan to have my three plots and use one for grass, one as an orchard, and one for crops.

As it is, I hand-feed my animals and only grow one 3x3 square of grass for cutting, but eventually I planned to grow grass on the smallest plot across the stream and let them graze.

I haven't ever seen any of my animals wander over there though, so will they eat the grass if I plant it over there?

I don't think they eat the outside grass at all actually, at least what some say. I never tried it.

They DO eat it...sometimes, but you can never count on it. Some of them will always need you to feed them.

I had that problem in ToT, too. I'd put my animals out first thing in the morning and not put them back until last thing at night, and there was always one or two who still hadn't eaten.

Thanks, though. I may stick to hand-feeding them for the extra heart boost and find something else to do with that field.

Forgive me for the dumb question, but:
Gale and I have a daughter who will be a toddler at the end of this year. Will I be able to go ahead to buy outfits for her ahead of time? Or will I have to wait till next year to get the cute little dresses?

You have to wait til she's all grown up before you can buy clothes for her.
