Hey, Ayumi! Thanks again for shedding some light on the Calvin ordeal last night! After I logged off, I managed to get 10 good lettuces in one go and he's finally in town! x3

Anytime :) I was really worried about it too, but at the same time I refused to believe he was glitched again or something. I would have been quite upset since Calvin is within my top 4 favorites. x3

'gratz on getting him in town! The fertilizer doesn't seem so efficient to me for some reason. I still get decents mixed up in my fertile fields. Weird. o.O

Yeah, same with me-- despite getting 10 good lettuces, I still had a large amount of decents myself. I haven't gotten far enough to see if the soil quality gets better after you ring the Yellow Bell-- do you know if it does?

I don't know for sure, but it's possible since the power of the Earth was supposed to be restored. I haven't played since doing the whole Calvin thing last night. I just got home. :P

I think so is that the first time you ever talked to him before?

Am I missing something or do I just have horribly bad luck? I have gone through the 10 levels of the mine twice now, breaking every single rock I can and gotten plenty of silver and iron and a few golds but absolutely no copper... so just bad luck and keep trying or?

I haven't played since I stopped at 5:30 this morning... I woke up anticipating playing, but then my sister wanted to Skype while she was at work and talk about it, so I got side-tracked with that, then I worked on a snippet of my new fanfiction, and now I'm on here helping out... and it would appear dinner is about to get in the way of my playing time. Second all-nighter, here I come!

Nope, I found copper last during my playthrough as well, but it's definitely there-- just keep looking and you'll find some! :]

Well you go in once for the introduction event.

Here is the step by step on how to get the animal whistle, after you met everyone in town once.
1. Go to the Harvest Goddess spring in Garmon Mine District, and view the event where the animals scare you off.
2. Talk to Dale.
3. Talk to Barbra
4. Talk to Juli
5. Talk to Ramsey
6. Advance to the 10th floor of the lower mine.

Note that when you talk to all of those people listed above, they'll start talking about the whistle, granted you did steps 1 and 2. These are NOT introduction events. These are storyline cut-scenes.

Wow, I'm not as far as you guys. I got to the mine district but then Jeremy hit my wii by accident and turned it off >.<

so what should I be doing early in the game?

I have two questions.

1. Is the game supposed to be laggy (Like really bad framerates or something) all the time?
2. Whats this 'rubbing' thing I keep hearing about?

Told you guys Calvin was in the game, if I was not so lazy, I would of made a "FOUND!" poster as well. xD

I've just been working on the bells, myself... but now that I have Calvin, I'll probably spend a good deal of time stalking him too. XD

I don't think it seems particularly laggy, but maybe that's just me.

Rubbing is when you give a character a back rub-- it raises their affection. I think you can only do it if you're using the Wiimote though, and not the Classic Controller. [feel free to correct me if I'm wrong]

Hooray! I'm glad to hear that, Naggex!

Has anyone gotten the Tailor shop to level 2 yet? I'm anxiously awaiting to finish the Blue Bell in hopes of it upgrading after getting Luna back.

Also, how does one go about unlocking corn seeds at Marimba Farm? How do I upgrade the shop before Spring is over?
