You need an Action Replay to use codes with the original cart and the DS.

how do you get an action replay? im new to using codes on the ds

You can buy an action replay for like 20 bucks at any place. Try Game Stop.
Oh and you will need the Game ID from online since not even teh newest one has Harvest Moon cheats in it.

You just have to purchase one from Walmart, or any game store out there. I got mine at least 19.99, which isn't too bad if you want to part with some money...

I actually do know who you are. Back when Rune Factory came out you were releasing all the codes for it. I remember the whole mess that went on over on the gamefaqs boards. I regretfully say I may have been one of the people posting your codes but I am sure I always gave credit to you. I will try to locate a post of mine to check it out.

Edit: I found one of your posts on the RF board but apparently they did not start archiving until after all that went down. But yes, I do remember you from over there.

Actually, it depends on the codes you are using and the code user. If you know what you are doing, then using AR will not break your game.
