Fodder/chicken feed question.

Are the feeding places in your chicken coop/barn assigned?
Like, if you have eight cows, and you put the first two outside to eat grass, do you skip the first two food slots and fill in the next six? Or can you just put them in wherever?

Back when I first got the game I had a problem with this too.

Hmm I assume you can skip then seeing as they've already eaten.

EDIT: But you can put the food anywhere

Nah, I don't think they are. Since I just dump my feed anywhere and they eat it fine. Even if I let 2 of them out to nibble on the grass and dump half my chickens outside to. Cows, sheep, chickens never got grumpy with me because of this either.

Okay, thanks.
I used to think that if you didn't skip, then the cows at the end of the list didn't eat because there was nothing in their assigned space, or somehting.

So, I've just been filling them all up.
Good to know I can stop wasting now. :3

Thanks!

I think the animals/chickens that have grazed outside wld be full so they won't eat the feed you put in the barn. Only the ones that have been cooped up inside will. That's what I think though I haven't tested it out. Useful to know if you're intending to keep golden animals/chickens.

I just let them starve on my sprite's day off xP

Feeding 20 animals makes me want to eat sand.
