Make a fenced-in area and put your chickens inside. U can just basically forget about them except on rainy/snowy/hurricane/blizzard days where you have to bring them in. They will find food on their own outside.

s rank eggs? darn hard to get.

Yeah but the problem is that chickens take a LONG time to get enough hearts to win. I'm in winter of year 2 and I think I got my chickens in summer of year 1 and they only have like 4 or 5 hearts and I treat them quite well. I let them graze, I feed them everyday, and pick them up everyday. SO yeah....by the time they actually get enough hearts it may be too late...

that's weird. i'm on winter 1st year and i do the same things as you and my chickens are on 4 hearts. got them in summer I think

Yeah I don't know. I really don't let them graze too often. That's probably the problem I'm having.

yeah, I pretty much just leave my chickens outside unless the weather's going to be crappy. I think having the 3 friendship pendants equipped also helps a lot cos I read somewhere that having it equipped all days does increase the animals' FPs if you leave them outside

when they have chicks the chicks have as many hearts as the mother.
