Yes! That's it. I haven't taken history in years and this stuff generally doesn't come up in conversation so... anyway I pronounce it like the other people do, you know with the "wa" sound. And Bianca named her Elfan "Fransoise" and pronounsed it with a "wa" so that goes with it too.

I got the Starry Night festival yesterday. I bought the game on Tuesday and have played it every day. I play all three shops every day, and I play through the customer loop once for each shop every day. I think I had about 12 or so regulars and maybe 16 customers total when the Starry Night festival happened. It was also the same day the first windmill activated.

Does anyone know how profit is calculated for each minigame? I notice it goes up with every upgrade, but is it based only on your high score for the day, or how many customers you serve, or your accumulated high score with all customers? I usually get over 1,000 a day from each of the three shops. I've got one upgrade for each and perfect scores for all customers (and more-or-less perfect bonuses for each minigame), and there are usually four or five customers before it loops.

I was thinking about getting this since we usually get a lot of wii point cards from people who don't know what to get us. Is it really fun or would it be like that FF My Life As King thing where I tired of it in like a month?

I think it is a pretty cute game. You can't get much done, story wise, in one sitting since the days pass in real time. I like the fact that various characters from many games show up and you can talk to them and become their friends. You basically get what you'd expect from a $12 game, a lite version of the harvest moon games you like. But because you can get very little done in the game a day, and you can't really skip days because you need to take care of your crops and animals, it has a completely different feeling from the other games. Don't get this game if you feel that having to play everyday is a chore. But I find it fun to play every day and find new little things, like the Witch Princess opening up to you, Vaughn ordering carrot juice, how it seems that your pressence is making the town a better place, I find it quite charming. I like it but there are others that think it was a waste of money, so you should hear what they say as well.

I think it might have to do with how happy you make people with their orders. On saturday I got windmill #2 and then on sunday I got windmill #3. I had windmill #1 earlier in the week.

I have yet to see the starry night festival.

Damn Cher. I only have one. o_o;

Odd that you haven't gotten the festival though. It's not that great anyway though.

Today I see Vaughn... he's the only IOH/SI character besides Witch Princess isn't he? :( Shame... no Elliot. Ah well, both Maya and Gray are in town today. That's awesome. I saw Vaughn hanging on the hill along with Gray, giggling. Vaughn looks like he wants to be Gray.

i think cher is right about the happiness of the customers with the windmills. i just got the 1st one last night and i was finially making more ppl happy playing the ice cream game. i still suck at making the cones.
andi usually play 4 or 5 ppl on each game a day but im still not making alot of money personally and im not sure how its calculated. i think i need to try to get more equipment for the mini games since i only have the slicer and the egg boiler so far.

i still havent gotten anything about the starry night festival even though the mayor told me he would start doing them again. i think it may have something to do with what time u play the game. i play at night so those of u that have gotten it to work, have u played the game during the day?

bell- i think its worth it. its charming like was said and playing for about an hour a day is ok for me to get everything done. crops and taking care of animals is easy and not complicated. and meeting new ppl is fun. its something different and it has a little story line. but probably once the storyline is completed, there probably isnt much of a point to keep playing.

I don't know about the whole happy thing... I've been playing consistently everyday and I rarely get anything besides perfect as my grades. I have like 9 regular customers and Jarvis has come and told me he's going to start festivals. Also I've completed every reservation and gotten two 'love it' reviews from the Gourmet.

I'm not sure that windmills are activated by happiness, either. I also very rarely get anything less than perfect and I still have only one. I've had three perfect and one great review from the Gourmet, too.

The other thing I can think of is the ship "attachments" you can buy. I have all of the juice, egg, and ice cream mini-games and the three windmills *shrug*

I don't think it's that either, I have all the mini games for the Ice cream, all but one for the juice, and all but two for the egg D: I talk to everyone daily an I have a Quail, Chicken, Jersey Cow, and normal cow... It's puzzling :<

Maybe it's the amount of money you make?

well i was able to play during the day yesterday and not able to activate the starry night festival. i have 15 regulars, and the 1st upgrade for all the minigames, and all the animals except for the coffee cow and the silkie hen critter. i do fail miserably at making the actual cone itself...i have such difficulty with that still...and now they want shapes!....there is so much fail happening its just sad. i also talk to everyone everyday so im not usre what requirements for the festivals and windmills. i have the fisrt one still and i think vaughn is suppose to come today. yesterday was the 1st day where i didnt have a new reservation...the whole thing confuses me...

I feel like the amount of money you make from each kind of shop every day is highest at the first customer, then decreases as you get more customers. Maybe so if you can only play a few minutes you still get a decent amount of money but can't abuse it by serving like 50 people a day?

I am still curious about the consequences of neglect for both crops and animals. I'm going to be out of town next weekend and don't want to lose everything while I'm gone... :( Does anyone know how long you can go without tending your animals before they run away? I don't care too much if my crops dry up but I really don't want to lose my expensive animals. I know I can buy a brush upgrade which I'm guessing has the same effect as the watering can upgrade, but, there doesn't seem to be a chicken equivalent.
