Haha, I think the same way on the guys sometimes.
It changes sometimes though...

The Doc is hot, but he's sorta...bland in the personality department.
Kai...meh, didn't bother.
Rick was my first love and he still is oh my « Harvest Goddess » I can't believe I once thought he was a woman.
Cliff is an emo but for a legit reason. And then he suddenly gets better, but not really.
Gray/Grey. Just. I like his hat.

doc = meh (kinda cute, but boring)
grey = ew (way too angsty)
rick = meh (way too obsessed with his sister)
kai = meh (he just doesn't appeal to me, but he isn't too bad)
cliff = ew (too emo)
kappa = (i love that you can marry a kappa XD)
gourmet = (he's totally amazing, even if he looks like a fish)
won = (chinese conman love~ <3)

i think it's a bigger mystery how you can have a child with the gourmet and the child ends up looking human. >___>

The MT bachelors aren't a big favorite of mine, but my definite favorite of them all is that sweetie Rick. He doesn't talk all that much about his sister and Kai after marriage.

if you thought these were horrible choices, play HM:DS cute without the option of marrying the mineral town boys

I prefer the DS:C choices over MT. I'd never marry a MT boy. Bleeeeh. MT boys suck imo. With the exception of the special candidates. Which aren't even in DS:C.

my opinion:

Doc: Can look a little bland at the start, but gets interesting if you befriend him
Kai: So-so...
Gray: Cute
Rick: Likable
Cliff: Cute, I like shy boys
Kappa: Can't stand looking at him
Gourmet: Is it a marriegeble guy?
Won: Cute, but I don't like him very much

Okay, using this system...

Doctor: <3 He is Win. Kay
Kai: Passable. Walking ray of sunshine but I'd go for somebody else first.
Gray: <3
Rick: Mediocre
Cliff: :/ Abstain.
Kappa: Passable. Though poor thing I'm to lazy to marry somebody that has a big "you must do this to marry me" list.
Gourmet: Nah. Not my type.
Won: Mediocre.

Doc - He's all right, but he gives out a bland first impression to me.
Rick - He'd be okay if he didn't obsess over Popuri, chickens, and Kai.
Cliff - I felt sorry for him, as cute as he is. Sympathy =/= Love.
Gray - His angstyness was a turn off.
Kai - Best choice, imo. I liked his optimistic view of things, and I thought his tan was sexy. :D

Though I never bothered to marry the special bachelors, I would probably go for Kappa if I had the game, just for bragging rights. Gourmet scares me, and Won gets on my nerves.
