Well that's good. I'm glad to see that Dirk's personality hasn't changed since I really did love him (eventhough I married his older brother).

Yes, the R3 childrens do have different dialouges lines based on their personality, but they only say that one line to you every single time you talk to them. You can't even tell if there's an age difference. For example, in one file, I had three daughters, and they ALL looked alike as if they were triplets instead of eldest, middle, and youngest.

I guess if I had GrB I'd marry Agi/Angelo or Schmidt/Amir there XD Dirk is really just TOO childlike there look-wise. But well, why marry him there if he's there in TV with the same awesome personality and even great looks? :lala:

Ok... this is seriously... weird XD And a bit sad actually. They could've put more effort into this aspect, after all those kids will share the house with you for the rest of the game XD (though it might be funny to think of the odds of actually really having 3 completely identical children look-wise, born one after another...)

Haha, yes, those two men are very interesting since I married them when I played the game over again.

I know. What they did for the kids in R2 was perfect, so I didn't understand why got sloppy with the kids in R3. This is why I'm hoping the kids will be more developed in TV when I get it. Actually, I just don't understand why you can't watch the kids grow up like you can in the wonderfull life series.

Maybe I'll actually get the game somewhen and see for myself ^^ Right now I'm happy with going after Dirk in TV  (though theoretically I'm still not fully decided... though I guess da facto I am XD Then again, I change my mind all the time when it comes to this aspect of the games.)

Yep, I loved the system in RF2 too ^^ Though in other HM games I actually kinda prefer when they stay kids instead of growing up all the way... dunno why, maybe because it keeps the 'family'-kinda feeling more intact then when the child grows into a teenager/young adult. (plus it's cuter, too XD).
Though what really sucks is when the kids stay babies/toddlers forever, like in FoMT, or, even worse, in RF1. I didn't like that at all.

Yes, the child system in R2 was great, although they could've done a better job of making a difference in appearance between the girl and boy. Anyways, it was cute to see my daughter/son make a boyfriend/girlfriend when I played the second half of it.

Well, I'm just glad they'll grow up a little. In some of the older games, your kid wouldn't grow up past the toddler stage and after playing year after year, seeing your kid at the same stage like that would just get weird. I wonder if they'll let the kids in TV walk around and interact with the other villagers.

Yeah, if they stayed toddlers forever it kinda sucked... they'd have pretty much no personality and in some cases couldn't even talk properly (or not at all, like in RF1 where the kid stays an actual baby forever)

I'm also already pretty curious about the kids in TV. Would be cool if they'd walk around the villages/mountains and even interact with others. Would be really great if it could play with the other kids, for example (though I don't see this happen XD but just them standing together would at least already look like it, for example). I just hope it doesn't stay in the house 24/7, that would be kinda boring (same goes for the husband/wife, btw).

I know, I hope the kids will have their own cute little schedule like the other villagers. I know that it was nice to see the kids and husband/wife to walk around and stuff without me having to do anything. Oh, I also hope the kids have their own little outfits too, that would be kinda cute.

Actually that the time doesn't stop in houses here makes schedules more likely... cause even if you stay with them in the house, there could still be kinda changes like them first standing at the kitchen and then moving over to the table as if they were eating or something (I'm just wildly guessing here XD)... well, stuff like that

As for different kiddy outfits, that would be really cute and cool, though I kind of... don't see it happen XDD but well, one always has ones imagination. XD At least the kids original outfits look pretty nice already ^^ Though they both appear to have a stronger Bluebell-kinda touch, but that might be just how it seems to me.

I liked the children system from AWL/AnWL where you could simply raise your child and chose the carrier for them. Your kid had own hobbies, crushies etc. I found it really interesting.

I loved the system from RF2 where I could play as my own daughter or son.

The systems from ToT and AP also were awesome, because you could chose the types of personality for your kids and you could have two of them.

I played the jp version of TT (Two Towns) but I didn't have a kid. Too bad that our child probably has only one personality (doesn't matter who you are married to). Having kids with different personalities and hobbies would have been more interesting. For example:
Kamil/Licorice: quiet, loves flowers
Kiriku/Raspberry/Ash: hardworker, loves animals
Nana/Chihiro/Sage: scholarly, loves to study
Michael/Alisa: romantic, loves art and music
Dirk/Ria: jolly, likes cooking.

Wow, in the original AWL the kids acutally got a carrier and had crushes? I've only played AWL:SE, where you can develop the interests of your kid, but they don't really pick up a job at the end (at least if I remember correctly, I didn't play the game in a while). Also the child had no love interests/crushes there, though that was probably because Lumina was instead of a possible crush for the kid an actual marriage candidate for the main chara, and because you could also have a daughter (for whom there wouldn't have been any possible choice but Hugh then).

That's a great idea! ^^ Though I don't think the personalities need to be so directly linked to how the parents are, e.i. in AWL (at least in the SE) the personalities of the kids were different from the parents too, for example Nami's kid is all shy and Muffy's kid rough and wild (when my mom played the game with Muffy, her son called her a 'dirty pirate' ones, she's still not completely over that  ).
However, generally I totally agree with you... it's about time the children get more personality instead of being only stereotype and all the same in the handheld games :!:

In AWL/AnWL your kid had a crush on Kate. I think in AWL:SE your daughter may like Hugh. They didn't really help you on the farm or anything, but you could see them making friends and read their diary. After your death you can see who your kids is going to be (farmer/artist/scholarly etc.).

I still think it would be interesting to watch your kids in AP grow up and have crushes just like the kids in AWL/AnWL. I mean, there are plenty of choices for your kids and it would be just nice to see.

Well I hope TV will a joy to play and your right, there is a good chance they won't have their own unique personalities depending on who you marry, which is quite sad seeing how it made the game more interesting.

Reading the diary is possible in the SE too. However, I somehow doubt that the girl kid would have a crush on Hugh, since also the boys I had so far didn't have a crush on Kate either, or at least it wasn't apparent in any way much. Only Muffy's son made friends with Hugh and they always trained together with Wally.

I'm playing TV for a while now and it's a ton of fun ^^ Better then multiple other HMs I've played.

And about the kids missing personality... it's kinda sad they don't use the variable personalities since they proved in other games they can do it, though in the end it's better if such a side-aspect is less detailed then if for example the farming would be degenerated. I guess if I'd have to choose between the many new crops in exchange for a kid with more personality, I'd still keep the crops

WOOOOOW :!: I had NO idea!!! And on the links I even saw that there are events like that for the boys too :o I've seen this game multiple times through, but never any of those events!!

Now I DEFINITELY gonna pick this up again! ^^ Thank you so much for telling me about his, I would've never known! this is amazing
