The game came out long time ago. When WB still was fresh, it was interesting. But now people are playing Animal Parade, Sunshine Islands and are waiting for news about The Twin Village. I'm not sure how popular the WB was in Japan. The game isn't really bad. It has many nice and new aspect. However, the characters are bland. They don't have a lot to say. The game is super easy too. In SI you had many challenges. In WB you have zero. Totally! Zero. Maybe the game will be popular again if Natsume says something about the US version?

It's such a pity how ugly the bachelors are compared to the girls. There never seems to be a Harvest Moon with equally good looking characters since FoMT. :(

Mainly because it's taking soooo long to be released, and is blocking the way for newer, more exciting games D<
I still really want to play it, though, it looks super cute.

The greatest killer of a HM game is when there is NO CHALLENGE WHATSOEVER.
There is NONE. Get married, have a baby, THE END.
Nothing to motivate you to keep playing. It's sad.

Really? I thought the MFoMT bunch was positively mediocre, on par with IoH's selection but better than AnWL (which is honestly not very hard to beat out).

I find it too bad that there's a lack of dialogue in WB, because there were some characters that I did think were interesting and/or had potential (though I digress that a fair number of the characters were snoozefests).

Schmidt is my favorite handheld HM bachelor so far D: He looks great and has a promising personality base; not stupidly shy nor overly flattering, and he had a more interesting lifestyle, though of course you barely ever learn anything about it which was disappointing. Since he seemed burdened by his restrictive life at home, I wish they elaborated on that more. I mean, wouldn't his family have a problem with their royal prince marrying some peasant farm girl? If he's not even allowed to spend time with his sister because he has to dedicate himself to studies and palace affairs whenever he is at home? Somehow the pieces just don't line up. You just get married to him like it's nothing.

From what I can tell, the common opinion is that the game is nice for a short while but gets boring very, very fast, making people reluctant to even buy it. Some people load it and play it on a flashcart, but few people buy it for it's minimal replay value and the short attention it demands from the gamer.

it just looks... boring and the bachelors are so-so
I'll probably get it when it comes out in America, but I'll get bored with it quickly
I mean, no mines? seriously? what were they thinking!?

I'm actually looking forward to it coming out, I'm still excited about it. ^^;;; but I've also been an HM fan since I was a kid so maybe that's why. It does look pretty cool to me though.
