I'm wondering what you all do during winter in HM

I find it quite bored playing it during winter kinda have nothing to do

so what you all do? May be I will follow your foot step and getting over the boredom playing during winter lolz

Mining and fishing are the only two things you can do. You can also give some gifts to the villagers to raise your friendship and get some benefits. For example you could give Ellen some gifts to get her to make a sock for the Starry Night, or you could befriend Carter in order to get the back door of the church open and be able to get the mushrooms in Fall (they're pretty valuable). You can also raise friendship levels with all of the sprites, so that when Winter finishes they all have a high level of friendship towards you. If you want to upgrade tools, it is a good season to do it.

Generally I mine and fish as well. It's the only time you can go to the Gem Mine unless you have the Teleport Stone, so it's a good idea to try and see how far you can dig and get some rare gems.

The usual « Cow Poopoo » I have no time for when my crops are demanding attention lol

I mine, fish, raise FP, play the sprite mini games, and if I get bored, I sleep. Once, I think I slept for 10 days in a row.

mostly just sleep, mine, and raise heart levels. I actually think I make the most money in winter, because I'm usually too lazy to plant crops, but in the winter I find the act of finding jewels rather exciting 8D

It gets boring after a while. The gems may be pretty, but they sell for quite a bit less than crops.
The rucksack should be able to hold more, and the basket should be able to hold much more than 30, then mining would be better.

Yeah, I guess I just like the change of what I'm finding, since so many things in the game do get boring. I find with crops I'm just doing the same old motion three seasons in a row, but in the winter at least there's a little more adventure~

I normally go to bed around 2 in the afternoon in winter.

I forgot to mention another thing I do in Winter. Since it snows a lot, and you can confess at the church every Monday, Wednesday, or whenever it's raining/snowing, I confess almost everyday. I usually confess about not taking care of animals, my animals' FP goes up if Carter forgives me, which I can make him do with the save and reload trick. I also confess about littering/townspeople not liking me, if I get forgiven, the people's FP go up by, I think 1 or 2; it's only a little, but its better than nothing.

Yeah. Same for me. But I find fishing a little hard. But I mine. I love mining. You never know what you find.

Sleep all day. When I woke up I go back to sleep. I always did it. I missed many events and the New Year Eve. When it comes back to Spring I go back to collecting colorful herbs (grass(es)).

So then you would miss everything, you'd earn no money, you'd miss a few events, not be raising people's FP, and you wouldn't be taking care of your animals. :O

I'm in my first Winter now, and I have to say that it a little bit boring...
I can't cook yet, because I Only have the kitchen and oven and the only things I now do is mining, fishing, taking care of my animals (my cow Bertha is pregnant again, yaj !), increase their affection towards me, giving presents to the Harvest sprites and Ann (yaj again, she's now at a yellow heart !) but mostly I'm finished with all those things at 2:00 PM... and then I go to bed... But I also have to say that Winter has something cosy.... It's only a pity that you can't harvest.
