how do i get van and ruby to come I cant figger it out I need help

They won't come until you've linked your FOMT game to Harvest Moon: A wonderful Life. Assuming you've done that, you just have to wait. They only come on certain days, and I believe there's a random element to triggering their introduction event. Also, you have to keep linking between the games after every visit.

Personally, I don't think the connectivity feature was done very well here. It's a more than a bit confusing, and not explained very well. It's just one of those things that's hard to explain to others, even when you do understand it.

i don't even know "A wonderful Life" or whatever the game is... o__O

I believe you have to be past a certain point in AWL too. I wouldn't know what point since I don't have it.

there are two possible ways to get Ruby and Van to e available in FoMT:
1. Connect FoMT game with AWL for Gamecube game via GBA-Gamecube cable, and this will unlock Van and Ruby to visit you in FoMT at certain day of a week. Van will sell things to you and Ruby will tell you recipes. But, you must play the AWL game too in order to achieve good progress rate and it will unlock new features in FoMT. 2. Use cheat code. I don't know if ebay or any website still have gameshark for GBA in stock since the company who produced it went to bankruptcy already. But, if you have one and want to use this method, it's okay. But, be prepared because some people in here feel unhappy towards usage of cheating devices, while some others might agree or don't care towards this issue. You can ask for the code to "Uncle" Google. He knows everything
Choose this way if you don't have all time in the world to just play and unlock all features in one game or you're an impatient type of person or don't care what people will say about you as long as you achieve your goal.

i dont remember seeing harvest sprites in the beginning cutscene.. did i?
i plan to connect to it with gamecube, but i dont know about cheat codes?...
