If you want an Orange Wonderful you should change your Other degree, even though it's the highest. In this case, using a tool in your house gives +2 points and shipping weeds/stones/branches gives +4 points. If you choose to go with the tool method, use it from 0 to up 49 times to cycle through half the possibilities, then cook something (that you already cooked before) and use the tool another 0-49 times. If you choose the shipping method, you ship 0-24 things before cooking something, and you may have to do that up to 4 times.
If the Indigo Wonderful keeps appearing you can change whichever degree is easier. You could cook something or buy pet food, for example.
Using a tool (no power-up) in the house up's your Other degree by one.
I just equip a hammer at bedside, sleep - check store, reload. Bonk 1 time, sleep, check store, reload, bonk 2 times, etc. I save at 5 bonks, then repeat. This method will go through all the colors eventually except purple and indigo, since you're moving your Other degree up one by one to match the corresponding degrees - doesn't matter what those numbers are. My last time (few days ago) I got another orange.

I got two green wonderfuls and one red wonderful using this guide.
I really want an orange wonderful but I don't think I have the patience to do it again. Hopefully I'll win one in an upcoming festival.
Thanks a bunch!
Edited to add: Of course, 4 days later, Chen is selling another green wonderful (just by chance, no reloading) at his shop. Definitely should have bought the orange wonderful my second time, but too late now

Hi...I'm trying to get indigo wonderful, so I cook a bowl of rice before midnight to increase my cooking degree. To my surprise, the BLUE wonderful shows up on the next day. According to this method:
Blue --> animals = other
If I don't cook the rice the night before, nothing shows up. If I cook 2 bowls of rice (1 by 1, not in a stack), the BLUE wonderful will still show up the next day. How can cooking affect animals/other degree???
Most likely you're changing your Other Degree, not the Animal Degree...
Are you buying the rice right before you cook it? Buying from the shop is +5 Other points (and if you're still getting a Blue after 2 rice bowls, but you bought the 2 rice together, that could explain it).
The other thing I thought was maybe you ate the rice bowl after you made it? (Eating food could be cooking points but not listed -- there are lots of actions you can do that are not actually listed on the Degree page but they likely still give points in a certain category).
Everything that doesn't seem to fit in a Category usually goes to Other.

Thank you, basket_case. You're right. I bought the rice before I cooked it. That explains it.
Tried reloading and using the axe 99 times (actually, 105) times, but still didn't get an orange wonderful. Got blue, red, and yellow, but no orange. This is really frustrating and misleading. Do I need to do something else to get an orange, because apparently using the axe and reloading 99 times does not work. >:(
If you didn't see Orange or Green, it probably means you have a multiplier somewhere, most likely affecting your Other Degree.
Do you know how many swings between any of the ones you did see, before they circled around again? What I mean is, if you have no multiplier on other, and Yellow is in the shop, if you swing 100 times, Yellow should still be there. If you swing 50 times, and Yellow is there, your Other Degree has a 2x multiplier (50 x 2 = 100). You should find this out first before you try to fix it.
If it turns out your Other Degree has a 2x multiplier, chances are your Other degree ends in an odd number and your Cooking ends in even (or vice versa) and therefore won't match up, because each swing is +2 instead of +1 (1 + 2 = 3, 3 + 2 = 5, ...).
What you could try (assuming Other has a 2x multiplier): cook something (something you've already made before = +5 points, or something you haven't made before = +10 and then make one more for the +5), and then go back to swinging.

Hope this makes sense. Good Luck!
23 swings = BLUE WONDERFUL
36 swings = RED WONDERFUL
70 swings = YELLOW WONDERFUL
I kept track of my counting, and this is what I got before. So then wouldn't this mean I don't have a multiplier because the blue wonderful would've showed up already after 50 swings? (i did 105 swings, remember) Thank you for responding, but I'm confused if this means I have a multiplier.

Er, would eating at the Diner (for Stamina) and eating a dish I made before I started swinging affect my degrees in any way as well?
If you haven't eaten there before on the day it counts as 1 other point. It is the same as if you have spoken to a villager. This is the same with Haila.
Just accessing the menu and having a glass of water will do it.

So if I ate three-5 dishes, would that count as 5 other points?
