No. You only get one point. It is the same as if you spoke to Eliza in three different places on the islands. You would only get one point for having spoken to her the first time that day, the other meetings wouldn't count.

The only way of getting friendship points with Nick and Haila is by speaking to them (by accessing their menus) or obtaining a recipe from them (by giving them an ingredient). Each of these actions count as one other point but only one other point per action per day for each of them.

:lala: Hallelujah :lala:

Just got the orange wonderful. Don't know how. I just did 105 swings from counting my previous attempt, plus one more other point from eating at the Diner earlier, did 34 more swings (to try and see if I would land on a yellow wonderful), and instead, got an orange one! Life is good.

Thanks for the people who helped!

I hadn't seen this guide before but I did know that Chen sells wonderfuls randomly in winter. I played through a whole season without him selling any. Is it that random? Or maybe was there an issue with my farm degree? When I hit winter on the year I am currently on, I may try the method here.

Its not completely random, its just a bit rare. If you're trying to get them by adjusting your score its a bit of a time-sink and can be a lot of save/reloading to get the color you want.

Starting on the 1st of Winter, Chen can have a Wonderful for sale if, when you go to bed the night before, the last two digits of certain Degree scores match. Remember, everything you do all day in game gives you points that add to a certain score, of six categories: Animal, Cooking, Crops, Fishing, Mining and Other (a general score comprised of things that don't fall into other categories, such as talking to villagers). The trick is these scores are invisible to you, the player.

Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange, and Green all require matching Other to another category, and that's why this thread mostly talks about adjusting the Other category +1 point at a time before bed -- because its the easiest score to adjust by simply swinging any tool inside your house before bed, and you have a 5 in 100 chance of hitting a Wonderful (in other words, assuming no multiplier on Other, it should take you 100 reloads at most to see each). You can see the ones that have to match on the original post if you're curious.

Essentially the strategy is this:

Your Other score is 5867.
Your Cooking score is 379.
You swing your axe once, save, go to bed and check the store in the morning. You reload and do this eleven more times. After 12 times (or 12 swings = 5867 + 12 = 5879 Other points), you find an Orange in the store the next day because 79 = 79.
Maybe your Animal score is 10982 and after 3 more swings you find a Blue.
Remember the scores are hidden though, so you don't know the actual numbers, you're just counting swings. Because its only the last two digits, the range is 00 - 99 = 100.

Sometimes your scores have multipliers, and then it might be trickier to get a match, but I'm in Year 3 and I still use basically the same method.

Purple and Indigo are trickier because the categories to change are tougher. What I've done to get Indigos is the method above until I see Orange (Cooking) and Blue (Animals), and then I count the difference in swings between them to figure out the difference in points so I can try to change Cooking.

Once you find one and buy it, you won't be able to get another for +4 days (so if you buy on the 1st, the next time you can get one is the 5th, as long as its not a Friday). If you buy the Wonderful Piece on the 10th it will also lock you out.

"Farm Degree" is the total of all six categories and actually doesn't matter for this.

Hope this makes some sense. :)

Hey does any one know why Chen randomly has a wonderful chip for sale right now? It's summer 10th year 1? I just asked charlie to make a wonderful but I was short on Chips? I also shipped like 650 buckwheat chips ( I was trying to make an easy dish that I could ship to raise my cooking degree, and it didn't work though? Anybody know why? I failed at a dish Of 5,000 point level and I shipped actually 675 buckwheat chips 1,342 bread and multiplied boththose numbers by 2 and counted all my recipes I learned and added 100 for each and that alone got me to 5,000, not to mention I should have gotten +5 for everdish i ever made AND plus 10 for the first time I made it!) but anyway, ik this is abut wonderfuls but since everyones talking bOut farm degrees on here I thought I'd add that. And I just got a chipatthe chicken festival, btw do chips ONLY make purple wonderfuls?

The rules of the forum ask that you only post a reply to threads where the last reply was no more than ten days ago. Please start a new thread for a question.

The answer to your question is that Chen has chips the 10th of every month and will sell a red wonderful, a blue wonderful and a yellow wonderful the first year of the game.
