wohoo i got leaf green today oh and the topic was about what did you name your main pokemon, not what did you name you pokemon.
now about leaf green i named my bulbasaur ivy and hoped it'll come a female and what do you know it is a female, i read somewhere that in 12% you can get a female bulbasaur and in 78% you can get a male.
lucky me

I have a Blastoise named Squirt. ^_^
And karleriksax, why does it matter if it's female or not? If it's a male, you can always combine it with a Ditto.

I got Bulbasaur in Leaf Green, and I named him Bulbasaur, since I hate nicknaming my pokemon, I like their real names, but that's just me^^;;

Heheh, I wanted to nickname my Butterfree 'I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!' but obviously the name didn't fit ^^;;
I could have nicknamed my Blastoise, but all the names I came up with were just too weird.
I don't remember the other nicknames I gave to my pokémon, I gotta check my boxes.

I never changed my pokemons names unless I was going to fight one of my friends, then I would change their names to all blanks so my friends wouldn't know what I was using...

Red: Charmander
Green: Charmander
Yellow: Pikachu
Gold: Cinaquill
Silver: Cinaquill
Ruby: Achamo ( I dunno the english name)
Red and Green posted above is not Fire Red/Leaf Green. There was a original Green version that was only released in Japan, and my grandma got it for me. So, yeah. Don't ask.
