Dog: At the beginning of the game, you get to choose from two different dogs: a floppy-eared one and one with pointy ears. Be sure to put food in the dish by your house every day! Your dog will like you a lot more if you do. Anything edible you put into his bowl will turn into food, including herbs you find around your farm. When it rains, you don't have to bring your dog into the house (in fact, you can't) so don't worry about it in bad weather. Your dog will be fine.
The only dog you will ever receive is the one at the beginning of the game. Carter will never give you a Chihuahua as a pet.
I never went that far in the game though. D:

Oh another one was where someone told me if you gave curry powder to Popuri the night you're married, when you go to bed you'll hear « Chicken Hugging » sounds lol (in BTN).
And another one where if on the first day you start the game, if you run around the tree on mother's hill a lot of times, a bug would pop out and if you gave it to Ann she'd go immediately to a green heart. And if you did it again, she'd jump to orange. ( - _-) Also BTN.
And yeah, the chihuahua thing in AWL totally had me fooled too. D: And the lizard. I was so upset lol.

BNT: If you hit certain buttons during the open scene on the farm you would all the girls to a red heart by the first of summer. It was in an actual cheat book. I tried that stupid cheat multiple times, and it never worked.
Also there was a rumor Gourmet or Mayor in several games.
There is the one about being able to marry Won in FoMT for girls. I actually believe that one is true possibly because of a screen shot on this site in the walk-through. I just didn't feel like testing it out. lol

Before I found Fogu, me and my friend were really desperate in FoMT when it came to our child growing up. We kept playing and waiting, playing and waiting, of course the kid never grew.
Also before I found Fogu, I once heard that in FoMT when your kid became a child, not just the walking toddler, Carter would open up a school and your kid would go to school with May and Stu.

When I had just gotten AWL, a friend told me you could go behind the waterfall and find a hidden treasure or something D:
I remember one about how the Goddess was locked up in the locked shed in AWL.
And that if you managed to marry the Mayor in 64, he would get pregnant.

I heard once that in FoMT, if you waited long enough, your child would grow up, and bear a striking resemblance to your rival, and would work on your farm.
So I slept in for three years and nothing happened.
So after ruining my game like that, I got onto Ushi and found out that he never grew up.

I remember someone telling me that in AnWL Galen was the one who died and Nina lived, but that rumor died as soon as the game came out.
Then there were all the rumors about getting the gender you wanted for your child in DSCute.
