If it's still Spring, make sure to go to the beach and collect the seaweed off the big rock there every day. It's worth something like 1000G.

Participate in the online contests if you can. More likely than not you can win some wonderfuls pretty early on in the game, which will be super helpful (especially if you can get green ones that lower the stamina required for a tool, or orange which multiply the number of items you get from using the tool).

Duude. No way it's worth that much. Well it is if you get S rank but what are the chances of that?

Anyway, foraging is a really great way to get money if you're in a bind, fishing too. Everyone loves minign but it's a « Baaaa *glomp* » in this game.

Go to the beach everyday and collect the seaweed on the large rock (left side, just touch the rock), it's worth around 900G if i'm not mistaken. Since it's only available on SPRING, so make sure u don't miss it.

Pick anything u see, flowers, colored grass, and ship it. U can keep your colored grass to add some stamina and fullness. Don't spend too many for upgrading things at first. Get chickens and cows, they'll give u eggs and milks everyday.

Later on when u already get the fishing pole from Taro, just go fishing.

When u build the bridge to the Forest, just go Mining and mining.. =p

The longer you wait to pick the seaweed, the bigger the size is and the more it's worth. I know after at least 15 days it is S-rank, I don't know what the minimum number of days is.

Yeah but then you only get 2 :/ And thats about 2000G Meanwhile you get 108ish per day, 30 days, that 5400. Quantity over quality.

No, but you seem to think you can make it earn money fast. Anyway, try getting a horse first and then try not to forget to feed it, ok?

The fastest way to earn money is:
1. Mining.
2. Catching pirate treasures in Summer.
3. Catching fish fossils in Fall.
4. Grabbing seaweed in Spring.
But by just farming and raising animals & crops to a good quality, you can make decent money too. Unfortunately, with money the game is out of balance heavily towards mining.

Not only is there a website with a ton of information a newbie (and not so newbies) can use, there's even a special page called "Making Money" but don't worry, there's at least one thread on this board per week asking for "how to make (a lot of) money (fast)?"; you're not alone.

Well, mining is a really good way to make money later on in the game when you have more Wonderfuls or more stamina, but it's pretty difficult when you're starting out. You can do it to supplement your income if you have extra time/energy, but it doesn't really become super profitable until you have a few orange wonderfuls to slap on your hammer.

I would say if you're more interested in money than stuff like recipes or gifting villagers, get a sheep instead of a cow first. Average shipping cost of milk is 430, while the average shipping cost of wool is 1700. Even though you can only shear the sheep every 3 days, it still works out to be more:

Amount made in 3 days:

Milk:

430 x 3 = 1290

You'd make 500G more per 3 days by having a sheep.
