The thing in HM that terrified me the first time i read it was th one story in MFoMT that Carter tells about when he was living in an apartment that had a window that looked over at another apartment, and he could see in. There was a man and a woman living there, and each day, the man always sat in the same place and the woman went to work. One day, a fire started in that apartment, and still the man didn't move. Carter ran over and tried to carry him out, but he was strangely heavy. He looked at the floor and there were hands coming up from the floor holding the man in place. *shudder*

I am also always afraid of the "dark you" you run into in the mines. They freak me out. I remember the first time I ran into one and I started to whine and hunny just shook his head and called me pitiful
