Villager question

Ok, I've picked up this game yet again, and it's been maybe two years and I forgot something pretty simple xD

If you talk to villagers like Basil, Anna, and Jeff everyday[just anyone who's not a marriage candidate] and you gain friendship points with them, will they eventually say something different? As in, is there any other indicator besides their upstairs being open that tells you they're friends?

Basically, will they ever talk to me like I'm their friend? o3o

I play the German FoMT, so I took the phrases from MFoMT (I think they say the same).

Basil
Beginning: He says in his house: "Mother's Hill is home to different species of flora. That's why we came to this town in the first place! There are plants around here which don't grow anywhere else!"
Friendship a): He says: "You grow crops, don't you? What a great endeavor that must be! I'm so busy writing my books I barely have time for field work!"
He tells you the recipe for fruit latte: "I've been meaning to tell you this recipe ... It's for a delicious Fruit Latte. Take fruit like Pineapple, Apple, Wild Grape, or other friut and put it in an Mixer with Milk. It also tastes excellent with Strawberry, Grape Juice or Honey."
Friendship b): You can go upstairs in his house.

Anna:
Beginning: You can go into Basil's house at 10:00 am. Anna says "Oh hello Lilly (my heroine). How are you? Did you read the books my husband wrote? There are many at the library? He says the books about this town are more popular than his plant books ... He isn't truly happy about it. But anyway, please go see his books. They are helpful."
Friendship a): You can go into Basil's house at 8:00 am. She says: "Ah .. Lilly. I was just thinking about when I was younger. When my husband and I went hiking, he was too focused on the flowers, and ... He went off a cliff! My husband likes to go to the bar at night. Why doesn't he invite me?"
Friendship b): You can go into Basil's house at 7:00 am

Jeff:
Beginning: You can go into the supermarket between 9 am and 4 pm. He says there: "Welcome! At first you should really buy seeds, you know. Don't worry about spending all your money, it'll come back! It's true! You just have to choose very carefully!"
Friendship a): You can go into the supermarket between 8 am and 6 pm. He says: "You look like you're working too hard, just like me! It's a small town, so we should all try to get along. Even if there are people we really don't ..."
Friendship b): Now he says: "Ah, Lilly. How ist the farm coming? You look more and more like a farmer everyday! It inspires me to see you work so hard and do such a good job! After all, running a farm by yourself can't be easy!"

I've increased my friendship levels with most of the villagers, and they say different things now, but I still have yet to get a recipe from them...oh well, I'm off to get more gifts...

Rather materialistic, those townsfolk are!
