I don't know then... Do the files play regularly when you're just using them?

The save battery could be dead. I believe that GBA games have a sort of battery for saving and you have to get it specially replaced. Uhh, only other possible problem could that there may be dust interfering so you could try blowing into it carefully.

It definitely sounds like a save battery that has kaputt itself.

There are tutorials around the internet that help you change batteries for saving, but I have never used any of them so I can't point you in the correct direction sadly.

Google searching it might do you a world of good however.

Oh! Strawberry-mun, if your still checking this topic I believe I am wrong. If the battery was indeed dead than your save file shouldn't still be there. Uhh... internal battery could be messed up from age/use however. Other than that, the cart itself could be damaged. If blowing into it didn't fix it anyway. When they get old, it just turns out that way. D: Might need a replacement itself. I'm not a whiz on the internal mechanics of a game cart though, just know a little about them here and there.

I suppose there MAY be a chance that you'll be able to save it later on though. Sorry I can't help anymore though.

You could try starting a new game and saving onto the slot that matters less. If it works, then it's possible that your save files got corrupted somehow? :X

As for the battery; in my area, usually the Chinese gaming shops do that kind of stuff, but you need connections. ><''
You could try asking your dad or something, if he might be more technical savvy?

I can vouch for the guy in the above link as well as the site itself (I've been a member for 3 years now). He doesn't charge much & it is worth every penny considering you not only regain full use of your game but also don't have to stress out over doing it yourself =)

something very simliar happened to me with an old game FoMT game i bought from ebay. the internal memory was fried so it wouldn't even save and i had to buy a new game. i would see if it is the game itself or your gameboy. try using the game in a friend's gameboy.
