One parent homes seem to be a theme in Japanese media; manga, anime, video games etc. Very rarely have a seen a main character with two parents. I mean look at Pokemon; WHERE ARE ALL THE DADS?!

Anyway, why most Japanese cartoons/mangas/animes characters have to be single-parented?

A lot of the boy characters get more fan girls when the have a sad life. My brother always says that.
I only read the first few posts, so sorry if this was already said.
I think his parents divorced, he stayed with his dad, who dumped him off with grampie :3 or maybe his moms away taking care of a sick relative, whereas his dad again, left him. stupid daddeh
