Shipping bin

Is there an easier way to ship your things except for the basket you get outside your house?
I've got « Puppy Doodoo » aim and i keep missing.. totally annoying.
The storehouse... will everything stay there forever until I take it out?
And is there is a point to saving rocks and branches? Except for the recipies that requires them, I can't find anything that is about upgrading your house etc.
