I want a new type. Like a "Light" type. Normal is somewhat like it...but I want a "light" type so that way dark has something for it to be opposite of or have a weakness/advantage to. It'd fit the game real good too.

Yeah but they already got fire moves and normal moves.. Dark was a bit of an overkill imo. It's awesome and I love it, but poison and ghost are pretty similar to it..mainly ghost.

(Though Light WOULD be a good addition of Black and White XD)

Well...kind of. But it was nice to have a "darkish" type that didn't have to be a ghost or ghost-related or didn't have poison moves/poison-related. I just learned recently that Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are part poison-types. And I've known those guys for YEARS.

I personally think adding a new type would be a seriously big mistake given that it would kinda « Snuggly Bunny » over the 500+ Pokemon already existing. (would Togepi be a Light type? does that mean we have reevaluate all the Electric Pokemon again?)

For instance, Gyrados is doomed to be forever Water/Flying type because the Dragon type never existed when Gyrados was introduced.

Poor Gyarados... And you can't even ride it though the sky like some sort of Never Ending Story/That Random Anime Movie I Can't Remember The Name Of.. thing. /what was I saying..?

So Gyrados was introduced before Dragonite/etc?

I wouldn't like a new type, personally. Light would be too close to electric type.

Dragon type was there in generation one. Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite were dragon types. Gyarados is a Flying/Water type simply because the designers made it that way.

I don't really like the starters at this glance to be honest.

If we go by order of how they are on the Pokedex- Grass > Fire > Water...
It looks like a Lizard Grass Pokemon... with a leaf for a tail. (Looks damn weird.)
A Fire Bunny/Pig? Judging by the tail, it might be psychic. P:
And probably the Water type Weasel or something.

I WANTED A DAMN BIRD

What I mean was that there were no Dragon-type moves in Generation I aside from one. Also reading it up a bit more, an existing Water/Dragon or Fire/Dragon would be a severe hax/overly powerful Pokemon. (though Gyrados is used as is by cheaters on competitive battling)

The top one looks like the Fire Type and the One with the Weird head looks like the Grass Type. All I know is that I am definetly picking the Otter or whatever it is
