So how many and what kind of pets can you have? Also, what do the pets do in this game? I've read something about cats taking care of chickens and dogs taking care of livestock, but how does that work?

Also, what farm animals are featured in this game? Is it just the cow/sheep/chicken/horse combo? Any special breeds of these?

You can have 10 pets:
5 dogs and 5 cats. You cannot have 7 cats and 3 dogs or 9 dogs and 1 cat. Only 5.

The dogs lead the cows and sheeps out of the barn (8 am) and show them into the barn (at 7 or 8 pm). They don't do that if the day is rainy.
The cats do the same with the chickens.

You can have only:
cows (black/white and brown/white)
sheeps (white and black)
chickens (white and black)
horse (white/black/brown/red)
dogs (many colors)
cats (many colors)

You can't breed or sell your animals.
