Opinions are fine, constant complaints are annoying.
And that contradicts what you just said.
This is my opinion of you, after all, and if you don't like it, it's your own problem. :]

I like the name Antoinette, and I think it seems like a fancy name, and she looks fancy the way she dresses XD
I like names that end with -ette for some reason XD

An opinion that places judgement on someone is different from a standard opinion.
Now get back on topic or kindly leave.

Every opinion is a judgment, whether it is one of someone or something. There is no more of a difference between it, even if you want to pretend otherwise.
I'll leave when I want, but to be more on topic, I don't see a problem with the name change. It isn't like it suddenly changed that character.

A name change will sometimes change how you look at that certain character.

Isn't that basically judging someone by their name? :C ''
Sure, their name might remind you of something, but the name doesn't change their character. Isn't that what matters the most? :/

^then how are you any different from those who made a judgment on you? You just "judged" the people who "supposedly" based Enju's American name on appearance. That is if you are saying a opinion is a judgment. You too also Judged Natsume for naming her in such a way. They are people too.
Anyway, I think Antoinette is kinda cute in a way. A cute name for a Nami like character; it makes it neat (:

It's a bit sad, if a name is what influences if you like a character or how you perceive them.

This. I agree with you totally.

lol, its just a name. now if they changed how she phrases stuff or completely changed her personality, that would be worth complaining about.
i dunno. whining about that tiny little thing just seems silly, but whatev. maybe go suggest to natsume that they try and keep some of the ethnicity of the names for future versions if it really bothers you that much?
if i had to pick, i like the new name better than enju

I like Antoinette more than Enju. It's more fancier and rich-« Baaaa *glomp* » sounding. Fits her, imo. xD;

I like Enju more but Antoinette isn't bad either.

Ummmm...
Technically you could romanize Enju to a kind of weird "Ange" (since "enjeru" is Angel)... which is French... Antoinette is French... and really, I don't think it's right to assume her name has a Japanese origin, which would make her the odd one out from the entire village. Even Kagetsu's name is based on how Japanese pronounces Chinese hanzi, so her name is arguably not that Japanese either. Both 'ka' and 'getsu' are on'yomi.

It didn't matter what they changed it to. People complain anyway. Every name change, people « Baaaa *glomp* ».
"OMG IT DOESN'T FIT HER HER JAPANESE NAME THAT WOULD BE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTEXT IN AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION WAS BETTERRRRRR"
I like the name, so there's my useless two cents.

Yeah, I like both names. And we get used to her English name, anyway.

Both names are cute, so it doesn't bother me. It does make me grin how people inter-reference and such. It's clever and when I read it I feel a little inspired. Either way, they gave her a nice name in the Japanese version and Natsume also chose a cute name for the English translation.
