Maybe the child's like a random thing, like, you're more than likely to get a girl if the MC boy married amone than the others while the MC girl is more than likely to get a boy if she married...um...dirka/juris.

^ You can save and reload before the birth scene to choose your gender, since it's determined then. But yeah, it's random.
