actually, don't keep your cat in Muffy's room. I used to do the same thing. I married Muffy, forgot to take my cat out of her room, and now it's there-- locked in her old room, in the attic of the blue bar.

how long does it take you to get your animals at ten hearts?
b/c i'm at year three and my horse and dog still have no hearts, my cat only 1

^It takes awhile to get your animals' hearts up, but it goes quicker if you pet/brush/whatever them with the touch glove every day and get high scores.

How did you get your cat EATEN?!

Well, I don't think my cat was actually eaten, but that's the only logical explanation I can think of. :P I had a rant about it sometime in 2008, but I tried to leave town with the cat on my head and then it was...gone. Not outside of my farmhouse, not anywhere. Maybe Jackie just held it for ransom to force me to serve the Goddess, I don't know. But eating seems likely.

The only other cat glitch I'd come across was when I was facing my fridge and I was holding my cat, and it got STUCK THERE. Like, its rear end was sticking out of the fridge...
And the annoying thing is, I didnt realise it was stuck, so I saved. Then I tried to open my fridge. So I had to restart my game...Loss of cat and fridge ='(
