Will I ever be able to go in the back room in the super market?

You have to be goof friends with Jeff, Sasha, and Karen, if I remember correctly.
Or you can just marry Karen, and that will give you access.
Not sure if this event is relevant, but it might be. >: Haven't played this game in a long while, so had to do some searching around.
Jeff's Paintings
- Saturday(?); 8AM-7PM; Supermarket; Good friends w/ Jeff
Enter the Supermarket and you'll immediately find yourself at the back room.
Jeff and Sasha greet you in. Suddenly, someone asks for them. Sasha lets him
in. It's Won. He says he wants to buy Jeff's paintings for 10,000G each!
But Jeff refuses since he puts his heart in his paintings. Sasha loves him
for it.

I'm not sure about being good friends with them, but I know that marrying Karen will definitely work.

They're both right. I became good friends with Karen and Jeff (Not so much Sasha) and then I got to go into the back room. ^^

The other buildings (library, chicken farm, the Doctor's, the Inn) work the same way, either marry, or be really good friends.

When you marry a girl, her parents affection will rise, that's why you can enter their places after getting married...

Actually I think before I even married Mary(not Karen, even though in another profile I married her), I gained access into the room a few times. And I think after I married Mary I could go back there. But definately when you marry her you can. Its not much though...

Not much, as in what's in the room? I agree, the rooms have normal stuff, like beds and tables, even though it takes a lot of gifts to be allowed in there.

I expected Popuri's upstairs to have big screen tv's and stuff like that.

Lucky you. I befriend Karen and Jeff but still can't access the back room. I befriend Sasha, and after that moment she let me in

Heh, I believe my version might have been glitched up then...
When I first started the game, when I first met everyone, they would let me into the back rooms of all their houses, basically right away. But now, I can't get in at all. To any of them but Elli's and the Doctor Trent's, seeing as I married her. I raised up FP with Jeff and Karen, but they won't let me in

Sasha's friendship is important for going into the backroom of the store (not Jeff and not Karen).
