Indecisive...
To get, or not to get...
I've played every HM since I got into the series (FoMT), except the cute versions... But, that also means that I'm kind of getting tired of the same old game... Now, I'll admit, kittens herding my chickens does pique my interest, and the game is only $28 from Newegg, where I buy all my computer parts. Newegg also lists the release as 3 weeks before EBGames or Amazon (though I know that's bound to change).
But, I feel like if there hasn't been an announcement yet about WiFi, they are probably going to cut it. And, while that isn't that big of a deal in other titles, seems like it's an important part of this one. I don't know if I want to support Natsume if that's the case, though, I doubt they will miss my $28...
Also, this comes out the same day as Starcraft 2. And, while Harvest Moon has always been my guilty pleasure, the game I play when it's slow at work, at the laundromat waiting for my clothes to dry, or when I just don't feel like getting it of bed, I do like blood and explosions the most...
I guess, I just wish I knew about WiFi. I'd get it without hesitation if it was included... I suppose I can wait, but I don't like uncertainty... And, I still kind of want to see kittens herding chickens...
What made you sure you were going to get this game or pass on it, if that's the case?

Yep, same here for me. After playing only IoH & MFoMT for a while, I'd like to get a new oneMostly cause it said Harvest Moon on the cover. LOL. Plus, it comes with a Horsey. Umm, all the characters looked interesting. I knew I was gonna get it eventually, so I figured I'd get it now. Yup, I'm not very convincing but I think that's all the reasons.
This one, in general, is easier than IoH right?
You know... I don't know that I'll ever be able to quit HM... I might as well break down and feed my addiction.hm221girl wrote:Mostly cause it said Harvest Moon on the cover. LOL. well, the rivals are considered boyfriend and girlfriend after the last rival event, and the children, egh, i'm not very upset about. the last handheld rival children we had (IoH) were just sub characters with no picturePeachyTree wrote:Seriously. It's too bad that that there won't be much extra fun stuff. i.e. no rival marriages or children and no wedding outfit. ):Ronin19 wrote:which is always a relief from time to timeMiyu wrote:Yup.
It's said to be one of the simpler Harvest Moon's, haha.
Def. easier than IoH/SI.

Well I'm definitely getting the game. UK is way overdue for a new HM game in my opinion and we haven't heard anything about Animal Parade release date yet, so this will be a great addition to keep me going. Not forgetting that if it's really as much of a stress relief as people imply, it means by two years at college should be relieved a little by this one. I love a challenge, but I'm already dropping a subject to free up time in my college timetable, so if I can spend an hour or two every few days relaxing with this, then it sounds like perfect timing for me to import and spoil myself.
I'm not too fussed about rival marriages either, the only game I ever experienced most, if all, rival marriages, is in DS Cute which are simple to trigger, and I never got far enough in IOH to see the rival kids, which sounds disappointing if they're just sub-villagers. I really won't miss them.
Nonetheless, it sounds like a great ease off my shoulders in total. Sounds like a good buy.

Feeding my addiction is part of my decision to get it. Also the pre-order bonus helps. >.<Ruse wrote:You know... I don't know that I'll ever be able to quit HM... I might as well break down and feed my addiction.
I'm also really excited for new characters and a new town. I've played IoH and SI now for quite a while and I need some new faces (and a new map). Also, the different goals appeal to me.
Plus, I gotta have my fix of HM.

Yeah, but I was hoping for kids like the ones in AP. I know that's definitely unrealistic to hope for in the handheld Harvest Moon games though.Ronin19 wrote:well, the rivals are considered boyfriend and girlfriend after the last rival event, and the children, egh, i'm not very upset about. the last handheld rival children we had (IoH) were just sub characters with no picturePeachyTree wrote: Seriously.
