I don't think I'm understanding whatever it is you're trying to get across... Is it that you don't think Selena and Luke were as prepared as the other seven official couples were when they got married and had a baby in the same amount of time after the same, tiny amount of interaction based on childish infatuation?

That instead of them being perfect together, and being the perfect parents right away, Luke and Selena are a believable pair. Both with their own pros and cons and work with it and they do it realistically for their young age. Additional family members included.

Yeah, Luke and Selena are a good pair in that aspect. Not all romances are turned into automatic "perfect parents" or one of them being a perfect parent...but rather the two aren't perfect parents...but manage and work together nonetheless and it's just really cute. To be honest, I prefer more pairs that work better as they progress versus "automatic attraction = perfect pair."

Luke and Selena aren't the perfect pair, but not being perfect is what makes them an ideal pair. They have thier pros and cons, but it works.

Favorite: CalvinxPhoebe: Just so cute. Plus Heath is adorable.

Least favorite: LukexSelena: It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It seems like they ran out of pairings, so they slapped them together.

What? I wouldn't call any of pairs in the game "perfect", or any character a "perfect parent", or expect that of them to make them enjoyable to me... I certainly wouldn't say that enough imperfection makes anything ideal though.

Oh, I'm going to have to step out of this argument, because it's not going to go anywhere. I gave my opinion, based on all the impressions that I received while playing, as you asked for it, and I had no intent to change anyone else's opinion while my own opinion will not be changed by anyone else's. We couldn't possibly all see the game the same way when we have so much room between the few lines each character gets, to imagine and suppose.
Feel free to line the pairing to your own standards and enjoy it or not as you will. :)

The Luka x Selena debate was really good. =] (Or is it still going on?)
In my opinion, the couple stand on a 'neutral' line. They're not the worst, but they're not the greatest either.
As other people have said, I do prefer him more with Kathy :>

Favorite; Gil/Luna

Although these two are my two favorite characters, i find that they have a very similar personality and fit very well together. They're both kind of childish and materialistic, but with a hardworking mind set. Plus, they both have pretty hair and clothes :D

Least Favorite; Owen/Kathy

This would have made much more sense in ToT, but now in AP when are they ever in the same area? She would go to the blacksmith in ToT but she doesn't in AP. This, as other people said earlier, is one of those pairings where it seems like they hate each other at the beginning then randomly end up together. I think their personalities are too different where he is obsessed with mining and she is obsessed with horses. Too dissimilar. She should be with Luke and he should marry his hammer.

Personally though, i have wishful thinking with this, but i wish that the pairings would be different everytime you play. Because each character is somehow connected to the other in some way and in all hoenstly each one could probably marry the other somehow. I mean if Luke/Selena are a couple anyone could be. I'd like to see a Luna/Julius, Gill/Kathy mix It would be fun. Candace/Jin even because she is in the clinic often.

Bit off topic, but I think it would be hysterical if you gave too much sweets to a person in-game, you could wake up one morning, walk outside and the could be there all chubby and be like 'OMG YOU GOT ME FAT.' XDDD

...Just kidding; I haven't played RFF, but I know who Eunice is (thought it was a fascinating concept for a dating sim when I heard about her whole optional diet thing), and it WOULD be cool to have a character like that in the mainstream HM series. And I could definitely see Maya being that. xD

Anyway, I really like Maya as a character for some reason. She's sometimes annoying, yes - but she's quirky, and I like that. I love her ridiculous way of talking, you know, punctuated by hearts and using made-up words like "yumm" and "thanksies." It's hilarious. I mean, just imagine an actual voice saying the things Maya says. Through all its obnoxiousness, it's hilarious.
And her food obsession is incredibly amusing; it makes her who she is. I enjoy talking to her during any given event or occasion just to see how she can twist a normal topic into being about food!

I'm okay with Chase and Maya as a couple, but I can agree with anyone that says Maya doesn't deserve him, because she really kinda doesn't. xD I mean, she doesn't contribute much to the relationship at all. It's Chase doing the cooking, and Maya doing the scarfing. And it's not like she loves Chase's food in particular; she just loves food in general. If there were some other chef in town, it seems that she could probably fall for him just as easily. I don't know if there's a real connection between Chase and Maya beyond the cooking.
On the other hand, Chase and Maya DO seem to know each other pretty well. Their interactions aren't always too friendly, but only because Chase is naturally not a friendly sort of person and Maya is the sort of person who can easily drive him to annoyance. The way they argue most of the time is the way two people would do if they knew each other very well; they say exactly what they're feeling. And at the end of it all Chase doesn't seem to mind that Maya is only in it for the food, he even outright says it during the proposal - so he must see SOMETHING in her that makes him want to be with her.
