I actually really like the name Antoinette, and I think Angelo is supposed to be like the painter, so it seems pretty fitting. And I have to admit, I kinda hated the name Shelfer, so sherry sounds 100x better XD I didn't really let myself get too attached to any of the original names though.

OTHER NAME SPECULATIONS ANYONE? ANEMONE SHOULD STAY THE SAME CAUSE IT'S JAPANESE AND JAPANESE IS KAWAII AND DESU AND OTHER JAPANESE WORDS?
I always thought of sea anemone whenever I read her name, so I never really thought to pin the name origin to a language. It does look japanese, so I got curious and looked it up--turns out it actually has a greek root! :p /nobodycares
I do think Anemone is a really pretty name though. I kind of hope they'll keep it, partially because all the alternative names I can think of are really boring in comparison.

Cherubae wrote:They've both had a name change, although Kagetsu's is not really much of a style change; it's still Japanese. Schmidt's name change is more fitting of his character background, as is Anemone's English name. Juris' name is the only one that's a little odd.
I don't know if I can state what their English names are yet

I think Natsume would prefer that information isn't out until after E3, when the game will most likely be available to play on the con floor and visitors can see what the English names actually are.
Hmm... If Kagetsu's English name is still Japanese, then what is the point of changing? Schmidt suits an Arabic prince. Other than meaning sea anemone, "Anemone" also refers to a flower, which reflects her love for flowers. And NO!!! Though the English pronunciation for "Juris" is strange, the words suit him. I can't imagine what the new name is... (I don't know why "Romeo" popped up.

This is pretty stupid and random, but suddenly I
really want Yuris's english name to be Christopher @_@
He reminds me of this english boy in a book series I really liked as a kid who was named Christopher. He kinda looks like a Christopher, right? And it sounds like rich english boy name so it kind of suits him >_>
This is never going to happen
And actually Nurse Fin I'd be kind of happy with Sanjaya for Schmidt XD
Ugh, I am starting to get worked up over character names. That is never a good idea.

As for the suggestion of, 'Romeo' *remembering Romeo & Juliet*
Really not a good idea...
I hope Juris' name isn't horrible......TT^TT
What about his brother, Dirka? Any thoughts or news about his name?

i never thought that romeo will be disliked by most of people here
i agree that it reminded me to romeo and juliet though
reading it in the literature class, oh well...
but, just in case that we will get more horrible names than it.
i'm just talking about the possibility that they might pass the rock's japanese name from AWL/AnWL to juris.
we've gotten the a case in SI, where lanna's japanese name (lily) is given to suiren.
dirka?
well, i thought names like derek or dominick might fit him, although i haven't played the game yet.
those are the name that i can think when i see him.
i don't like the idea of sanjaya name
he reminds me to the name of my friend who is really annoying.
i'm glad that i've moved to new school though.
also, it reminds me to that sanjaya in american idol
i dislike him for unknown reason(

Oh yeah, and they'll be altering his sprite to change his hairstyle every day. Including a giant faux-hawk.

Freja is Freya. Dunno if anyone answered that already or not, but isn't that so super creative?

It's a male name of Dutch origin, as a variant of the old German name, Derek.
Naming him Dirk or Derek would be reasonable.

He likes cooking and loves good food.

And I think Pierre's name will be Pierre. *shot*
But if they name Dirka ≈censored≈ or something like that, I'll fall over laughing and go on a psychotic rampage at the same time.
