Wait until RF3 comes out. Time doesn't stop at your house at all. It doesn't even stop when your in the Dungeons.
But anyway, that does suck about the whole mining thing. Hm, oh well, I guess you get used to everything.

Isn't that the same if every RF game? =|
Does time pass quickly in this game? I hate that >_<

Yes and no. The time in RF1 and RF2 time stands still when your in a house. It also kind of stands still in the Dungeons. In RF3 things are a little different from RF1 and RF2.

I can't decide if I want the day to go by in a few minutes or take forever (like in AP).

Both options are bad.
If the day takes forever - you have no idea what to do with time. It was a big problem in RF1 and RF2.
If the day is too short, you can't relax. I hated the short days in IoH and SI.
In Grand Bazaar 1 hours = 1 minute, but the time doesn't stop when you are inside the house. Days aren't damn long and aren't damn short.

I guess that's a good thing. The days in SI were really short sometimes and I couldn't get everything done. I did like having time stop in buildings though. But since we won't have to worry about the shipping bin, I don't see it being a problem.
