Mining?

Is there mining in this game?
And if there is, is it as crappy as in SI?

There is no mine in this game. Instead, you buy ore and jewels from Lloyd and Fucho. During Winter, you may see ore rocks as a wild item, and they might contain an ore or gem if you smash the rocks with your hammer.

You can find the ore rocks in the river and snowballs too.

Yes.

Save the game before you smash it and turn off the DS if you find inside gem/ore you don't like. Kepp trying as long as you wish. Sadly, you can save the game only when you go to bed. Maybe in the US version the saving system is different, but honestly - I doubt that.

i think we'll be stuck with what marvelous originally put in it. well, free willing saving was fun while it lasted.

I hate not being ale to save when I want where I want D< I HAVE OTHER THIGNS TO DO. I DON"T HAVE TIME TO FIND THE SAVE POINT.

the save point is your bed, where you get the option after you choose to sleep, basically, it's like the original harvest moon for the snes

I don't see it being that big of a deal, since time doesn't stop indoors now (that's what worries me). So, if you go to bed at midnight, one day will only be about 18 minutes.

well, not really if you got use to ToT, where timed only stopped in your house and in every other place time kept moving forward.
