I'm glad that it finally is coming to the states. (I nearly ordered the JP version when I heard about this game). But I'm a little stand offish on how things are runned in the game. I guess what I'm wondering is how is the game played? If someone can give insight on how its played it would be greatly appericated.

No, I haven't played the JP version. I was kind of waiting to see if there was going to be a US version before I bought it.

How the game is played?
This time the game doesn't have a plot.
You live in the village, you run own farm, every sunday you sell your stuff on the bazaar, you befriend people etc. The game has many new features but you probably know about them.
You use the + if you want to move your character. Sometimes the buttons A + B and L+R are nedded too.

Ah, okay then. So, basically this game is almost like Friends of Mineral Town/More Friends of Mineral Town? I might look into more as a belated birthday gift to myself.

does the game literally have NO plot?! :\\\ nothing to work towards? not even an "I'll-check-up-on-you-in-four-years"?

Well, your goal is to make your bazaar-shop more popular. But seriously, the game is like FoMT/MFoMT - without plot.

I might get it then. I'm kind of looking for a HM game where there isn't a goal set except your own. I mean don't get me wrong I love SI/HMDSC but I am looking for a kick back relax what's the rush game.

Kick back relax you say? So I'm really recommending this game to you! GB is very relaxing. It will came you down after hard day.
Growing crops is easy.
Taking care about animals isn't boring anymore.
The music theme is very nice and calming.
Yeah~

Well, that is wonderful news to know. Like I said before I love SI/HMDSC (you can include Rune Factory if you want) but I'm looking for a game where I can set the goals and no one is telling me that you have to do this instead.

I'm kind of wondering if I should get this when it comes out in english too. Luckily it comes out right before our real life trip to the beach so I was thinking it would be a wonderful thing to breeze past the 14 hour car ride there. At the same time the idea of selling my stuff once a week at my bazarr, doesn't sound nice since I am attatched to shipping bins in havrest moons nowadays, unless there are shipping bins but you can get like better prices if you save for once a week sellings.
I alos am not sure about there being no story at all, I mean, no HM game really had much story but at least they had some nice backstories and stuff, I enjoyed saving the harvest goddess in MM.
I need something to convince me about this.

You can sell your things to Mucho. But you'll get less money.

This makes the game sounds even more amazing, and it'll be perfect for a couple of hours a weekend when I'm not studying/working between college and such. The lack of storyline sounds perfect to me at the moment and I can always turn back to DS Cute of TOT if I really need a plot-based game. Sounds awesome!

I've been totally blown away with what I've read about this game...I usually have to get the new HM game, but lately I've gotten 2 the point I think 'I'll just get it off e-bay eventually' (I have VERY little spending $). This game though is an absolute MUST-HAVE, at least 4 me.
Keep up the good work!

Halle-freaking-lujah to no plot.
I much prefer getting not having to deal with some plot. If I want a story or something then I'll play an actual RPG. I play Harvest Moon so I can farm and make massive amounts of money.
