Wait, what?

Ehh... I'm really sorry if there's already a topic like this, but I didn't see one during my search through everything this evening, and this question has been nagging in the back of my mind since I saw someone say it...

According to several people, this game is on the same basis as FoMT and MFoMT. I've been assured that it isn't nearly as difficult to play as, for example, Sunshine Islands or Island of Happiness. What I mean by "the same basis" is that it is easier to play in itself as a whole... And that got me thinking...

Is it also going to be an endless, "you've-got-however-long-to-do-what-you-wanna" game? There apparently is no plot, and I was wondering (hoping) that it would be similar... ^^;

I'm assuming so. It definitely seems that way.

Yup. It's more similar to FoMT. We were discussing this in another topic, but I can't remember which. >.<

Overall, its is supposed to be more relaxing gameplay. Your only real long-term goal is to improve the bazaar. I'm really excited because I'm pretty sick to trying to get sunstones and dealing with the horrible sun/water system.

The game is veeeeeery relaxing :)

- no more "collecting 100 sunstones/harvest sprites" missions
- no more sun/water system
- no more summer hurricanes (at least, I haven't had any)

Wonderfuls:
U use them only if you want to produce something faster or you want to unlock the special recipes. You have to put a wonderful into the empty slot in windmill.

Tools:
You upgrade them with bronze/silver/gold/mystril. You don't need any points or levels. You can make a golden tool whatever you want.

Animals:
Cats take care about chickens
Dogs take care about cows and sheeps
Feeding animals is much easier, comfortable and more realistic.
The cow/sheep will not run from you if you want to milk/shave them.

People:
Will not reject your gift even if they were ignored by you. They will not accept your gift if the gift is rotten (has only half of star level)

The music theme:
The music is very calming and relaxing.

So there's stars rather than A/B/C/D, size, freshness and quality? But still a ranking system, unlike DS where every item was equal?

The system:
5 stars - awesome!
4 + half
4 stars
3 + half
3 stars
2 + half
2 stars
1 + half
1 star
half - rotten

I played long time ago so I don't remember everything. If you keep your stuff too long in a rucksack/warehouse, they will lose the freshness (stars).

I'm really excited for the return of ore-upgraded tools. I've missed it. I'm sick of wonderfuls. Also, I like the idea of the stars instead of three different kinds of dots. It was always so hard to remember how many dots of size, quality, and freshness where needed for an item to win a festival.

Also, it's about time that they stopped the animals from running away from you. I used to get so frustrated trying to use a tool that I had to charge.

Finally.

If it's a similar playing style to MFoMT, I'm definitely getting it. I stopped playing Cute because I got tired of trying to find sprites, and I'm already getting kind of annoyed with the Sun Stones, raising of islands, having to talk to every single villager in order to keep them content, and Wonderfuls in SI.

I just want to go back to the ease of MFoMT where I play at my own leisure and I don't feel overwhelmed by all these tasks I have to complete. I just bought SI, so that usually makes me hesitant to pick up a new game a few weeks after buying, buuuuut...

Well, the character designs are cute (specifically the main character's...HOLY COW!), and I like how relaxing it sounds. I'll be able to pick it up and put it down whenever I want, instead of feeling obliged, y'know?

I know what you mean. I've play SI on and off now... It just gets so frustrating! I actually forced myself to play it for a little while. At least SI is better than IoH, but some features just kill me.

I've been dying for a game more like FoMT. I really hope it lives up to my expectations.

I'm kinda glad we have another relaxing game on the way. Gathering sunstones and rescuing Harvest Sprites stressed me out. >_<

I sincerely agree, and I've been hearing/reading it all over, so hopefully.. :3

From what I've been hearing about IoH, I'm reaaaaaly glad I picked up SI, as tedious as it is...it's still manageable and fun.

Just...ugh, tedious.

I really hope it does too. I'm hoping it's as good as FoMT/MFoMT, or better. I really loved MFoMT though, so I have high hopes!

I'm so glad it's a relaxing game. That'll really help me out in the next few months. That is until RF3 comes out.
