So I'm playing this game once again. I made it into Winter and I'm currently trying to get the scene in which Cliff faints. For some reason, I'm not getting it. I understand that it must be a snowy day, have nothing in my item portion of the rucksack, and a bit after 10:00 AM. Yet, I am unsuccessfully activating it. I've gone on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to no avail. I mean, if there's no way for me to do it (with it being the 19th or so of Winter), I'm fine. It's only one event point.

Hmm...Are you entering the Square from the north or the south? I believe it only triggers if you enter the area from the south. You might also have to befriend him a bit as well.

Entering from the South. Yodel Farm side. Also, if he's at Green Heart (on the verge of Yellow - and I mean that; he keeps turning yellow on me when I ignore him), I'd think we were friends enough. =P

Yeah......This is probably a dumb question on my part, but you are on your FIRST winter, right?

Then, all I can suggest is maybe try triggering it at different times of the day. Sometimes event trigger times can be a little off.

Do not worry. It was my bad on my part for no clarification on everything. But yes, I am on the first Winter.

How often do you suggest I attempt? Every hour or so? =P

Actually, yes. If events don't seem to seem to happen when they should, sometimes I'll spend a day going back and forth trying to trigger them. If they trigger, then I make a note of what time it happened, reload, and then try to trigger it again at the same time.

Now that I think of it, I think I did trigger that scene very late in winter. I wonder if it's possible that you have to wait until after a certain point in winter to trigger it?

Okie, much appreciated. Normally I don't have trouble with this event, but whatever. Thank you! Hopefully I get it. It'd be sad if I had already triggered this on the 1st of Winter but had forgotten since that was played about two months ago.

I did not befriend him. Cliff's heart is also in black but still I can trigger this event

Well, I never said that I thought I needed him to be a certain color. It was just a clarification. But thank you for that information. =]

Hm, I'm doing my 2nd playthrough of the game and I had the same problem. It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure I could get it on my first file. On this one, I have all the requirements, but only had him at a blue heart- going for another bachelor this time around. o3o Anywho, I was trying all winter, but no dice; just a hypothesis, but perhaps the chance of the event increases if he's at a higher heart-level? But anyhow, best of luck.

I gave up and convinced myself I had already seen it but forgot that it happened. Haha. But thank you for comforting me and allowing myself to not feel inept. <3
