Ushi No Tane Forum

So in case you don't know, they've had a graphic update. Their noses have shrunk, their sweet 'staches are less noticeable, and they actually have eyes. It's likely this was a change to make them less of a bunch of ethnic stereotypes.

SO. HOW DOES USHI FEEL. I'm personally really happy about this because they were vaguely offensive before.

I didn't find the sprites offensive, but that's just me. However, I can see some people being offended by them. So I think it was in Natsume's best interest to change the art. We wouldn't want them to get in trouble...

I don't really care that they changed the sprites. (I did like the other one better, though.) They're not major characters or anything, so I don't see it being a problem.

And for those of you who haven't seen the change...

i agree with bluie. i think the edits make them look way cute but i could see how it might offend people.

I don't mind the change either, though I didn't really see anything offensive with how they were to begin with... I'unno, it's all okay with me, really... I do think the new version is a little bit more "cute-sy" though, and I'm not ENTIRELY sure how I feel about that.. xD

I don't care. Doesn't matter to me, but I can see where Natsume might get some heat from so I don't blame them. I like the little beady eyes, though. XD

Heh... I'm more upset with the name changes...

They look better now in my opinion. And also I think it's funny how the sun on the hat's expression changed too, lol.

If Natusme is so worried about racial stereotypes then why is Won and Gourmet still around? That's what I want to know.

Because Won and Gourmet aren't as offensive?

Like I said before, I think the new sprites are more cute.

well, Won isn't wrong looking....I thought he was the most popular special character of MFoMT ?
And the three brothers are still there, they're just different.

And Gourmet's race isn't even mentionned, so why do you even mention it ?
