Yeah, black hair, narrow eyes, and glasses are pretty typical in anime. There's probably a word for it, but I don't know what it is

Megane type isn't limited to just cool guys with dark hair though. It's a broad umbrella term for all glasses-type characters, from the cool smart ones to the nerdy mild-mannered or clumsy ones.
