I'm not saying that it's for sure, but I did notice something while playing it. It's most likely a coincidence rather than fact, but if you other players can try and see what happens, it would be greatly appreciated. What I've noticed is that if you land on the number that you have correct, the answer is going to be opposite of what it should be.
For example:
0-4: The number is most likely to be larger
5-9: The number is most likely to be smaller
So if you were to keep count of what you got correct (say 6), and the number it changes to is 6, you should choose that it would be larger.
Now, like I said, it may be completely a coincidence. But the many times this happened, it turned out to be right. I would just like everyone else's data on this. The thing is, I've never tried to see if this works in any way past 8. 'Cause usually I only stop after 10, just to get the Relaxation Tea Leaves.

Hm....that's really interesting! I'll have to test it out for myself though. I'll see if I can get it past 10.
I've noticed something else, actually. If you guess and the number doesn't change, the number that comes after that seems to be opposite of what you'd expect. As you said: 0-4, you should guess higher and 6-9, lower. But after a double number, say, two 6's in a row, the next number is usually (but not always) higher, instead. I have to check it out more, but this seems to be the pattern.

That IS really interesting!
I have noticed the "0-4: The number is most likely to be larger, 5-9: The number is most likely to be smaller" thing, but I hadn't thought about the rest.
And I'm like you, I just want the Relax Tea Leaves.
It's annoying when I lose count of my wins, and end up going too far, so that I win something else that I can't sell...

I've always gone by this, and it's worked fairly well for me:
1st Pattern:
Up, Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Up, Down, Up, Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Up, Down etc.
2nd Pattern:
The same pattern as the first way except for every Down push Up and for every Up push Down.
It alternates between the games, 1st and 2nd, so play back and forth. I don't make any gurantee that it'll always work, though XD

That is assuming she works by pulling out a slip of paper with numbers on it, like marbles in a bag. Haha. So, upon playing again, I also think that there's a possibility that it runs on a pattern of numbers depending on the attempt. Like, if it goes from 5 to 3 (assuming you're playing on the same attempt over and over again - due to the fact you keep losing, perhaps), a couple times, then 3 is going to end up being lower. I don't know. Haha.
Oh, I HATE when you're playing, got the number right for a certain item, and keep getting unlucky on trying to stop gaining points and eventually losing the item. Bleh.

Ahh! I know! You know exactly what item you want, and you're counting all you need, and then BAM. FAIL. YOU KEEP WINNING!shadowrancher wrote:Oh, I HATE when you're playing, got the number right for a certain item, and keep getting unlucky on trying to stop gaining points and eventually losing the item. Ugh, it's so annoying X3
I've read about this pattern on another site, tried it, and it never seemed to work.MeganMoon wrote:I've always gone by this, and it's worked fairly well for me:

For this game, I just try to get the tea leaves, if not, I just take whatever the prize is, because I already have a lot of money.
