Please tell me that this won't be a mere clone of IOH or SI

So, if you've visited my topic lately in the SI board, you'd know that I don't particularly care for it. This & Twin Villages look more promising. That being said here are some questions:
1) Does the time move obnoxiously fast?
2) Are the festivals actually enjoyable?
3) Can you actually traverse across your crops without having to be blocked by the outer perimeter?
4) What's the story like..as long as it doesnt involved collecting a bunch of obcsure stones, I should be fine
Anything else you wanna add, feel free!

This game is not like IoH/SI.
It is relaxing and nice.
1) The time doesn't run like crazy. 1 hour = 1 minute in real life. The time doesn't stop when you are inside your/someone's house.
2) Yes, they are. We have some new festivals too.
3) Yes
4) GB has no plot. This game is a lot like FoMT/MFoMT.
Also, the annoying rain/sun system doesn't exist either.

I don't think they'd ever make a clone of IoH or SI. At least I hope not.

Alright, I can start off right away with; From what I've seen of this game so far, it isn't on the sae line of SI and IOH, which I agree weren't the very best ones. Based on what our fellow Ushians have told me, and all of the videos I've been looking at, I'll give you the best answers I can to your questions.
It does sound like the time of this game is going to be pretty fast, and appears to be in the same format as A(n)WL where one second is equal to one minute of gameplay. Of course, I was fine with this format in said game, and it shouldn't be too much of a problem here. I'm not entirely sure if this is true, but if it is, that'll be quite alright with me.
The festivals are listed on Ranchstory, and they actually look extremely fun in this game! I'm looking forward to attending all of them, and seeing how they play through. They seem really fun :D
I'm pretty sure that you are allowed to walk over your crops in this game, but I suggest you don't. It's supposed to greatly lower the quality of the crops you produce, which will in turn lower the funds you are able to recieve for them. So as far as I've heard, yes you can. But don't ;D
It appears that the only thing you really have to do through this game is improve the city and bazaar itself. There shouldn't be any collection of sunstones or harvest sprites, based on what I've seen in videos of gameplay and all that jazz. Supposedly, Grand Bazaar is going to be a lot like (M)FoMT, in the sense that there isn't a real plot or point, as is going to be a fun game to relax with :D
So I hope I was able to effectively answer all of your questions, but if I'm wrong about anything, I hope people will be able to correct me in each area

(*Hint hint* :3)

does anyone know if you have to use the stylus (black stick thing) to move around?

I'm pretty sure sure you can only move around with the control pad, seeing as the actual game screen is on top. (According to the videos I've watched, anyways.)

How are the festivals more enjoyable? You turn in an item and watch a cut scene. It's no different than a festival in any other version of HM. The only fully interactive festival would be the Snowboard contest, since your result is determined by how quickly you can board down the hill. Everything else is just a judgment.
With recent games, there are always 2 versions of a game "style" before MMV develops a new one. Island of Happiness and Sunshine Islands are together, Grand Bazaar and Twin Villages are together, Tree of Tranquility and Animal Parade are together, etc. There was even two versions of Magical Melody, but only the second one was localized into English.

Oh, wow that's a good point! I can't wait to see what'll be on the Wii next
& that DOES give me a much better feeling about GB & TV

The pace in the game is slow so you don't need to rush though your cores every day.
The festivals are not interesting really. The best ones I think are Flower Fest and Count Down.

At first I read you pushed the A button at the animal/pet festivals and not to push it too fast they get tired blahblahblah...Now I read you just watch it...I'm confused...
Also, I keep seeing that you can't sell ANY of your animals...So you have to watch them die? That's just depressing!

the question is, is the game still enjoyable on long term even though its so easy ? I mean, doesn't it get really boring after a (short) while ?

I think that would be up to personal preference. I have a few games that would bore my friends to tears even though it keeps me entertained and interested. Then my friends have a couple of games that just bore me to death.
So, some people might find it boring while others will love it to death.

I find it ironic that I just traded in IoH and put the money from it on my GB reservation.
I highly doubt it's a clone, it looks too good to be anything like IoH or SI.

The time is pretty slow. Most of the time I couldn't be bothered staying up until 12 PM for the festivals, but that's cause I didn't have anything to do anyways. I'm playing the jap version and pretty much not getting anything of what it says.
