Are there still only 6 letters? I hate that. My name is Candace and all my first games in IoH and SI i am Candac. when i read it, sometimes I cant help but say can-dack

You could call them Candy (Just kidding, of course. Candy is a stripper name)

I've never had much of a problem with the six-character limit. I always give my characters random names anyway, so if the one I want doesn't fit, I just pick something else.

That's hilarious. They probably spent about 2 seconds on those names.

I usually do my main one candac, then another Kandi. on one of my friends fan fic, im Kandi married to elliot.
I may just do kandi as my main.
Kandi, Angelo and their daughter Angel.

What about last names? I kinda like em' having last names.

first names in the united states, are most commonly 7 letters. and on ds cute wen u hit a certain farm degree u take ur husbands last name. i never got to that point i accedently over wrote my game and then it got stolen

Are you sure that's not just a rumor, the last name thing? It'd be cool though.

I'm guessing there will be at least 8 spaces for the name, that's what the last few Harvest Moon's have been doing.

The last two to come out were Animal Parade and Sunshine islands. AP had 7+ and SI only had 6. i think they have more room with only 6 letters when trying to shove 2games into the tiny DS card. Cute had 7 but that was because it was just one gender.

Aw, Hansel and Gretel are kinda cute~ Like the fairytale.


Hope it's more than 6 letters, though. 8 would be nice.

I don't remember anyone of them having last names. The only one I know of
is Will's (SI) and I don't even remember it....

Oh, no. in cute u didnt know what anyones last name was. i dont even think they had any but u would have another name added to urs in the assets page depending on ur husband. i read it on the fogu guide

when I started a "new game" at e3 there were 6 letter spaces.
Wish it could be more like Persona amirite?

well it really doesn't matter to me cause there ain't a HM game that can take my full first name (it's nine letters) so i always find a filler name (like Silver)

I know someone who has like 10 letters in her first name and like 8 in her last. i dont know how to spell eaither.
