Oh, for anyone who is interested:
Feeding the wild animals is not soooo difficult, although still annoying. They only accept certain kinds of food and won't eat anything else:
Foxes: egg
Badger: egg
Weasel: egg
Boar: egg, turnip
Ducks: fish
Bear: honey
Sparrow: rice
Seems you can only feed one animals species once a day (at least you cannot give a normal coloured duck a fish and afterwards a white one a fish). The honeycomb does not count as honey for the bear, at least it finds the main character more attractive than the honeycomb.
And you really should aim your shot: The animal will not run to the stuff you throw, but will only take it if it walks into the direction. As they seem not to like to be taken up by the character with a low heart number (Sunshine Island anyone?), maybe it's best not to throw them into the direction of the food (although I do that sometimes because I don't like running around throwing food which bounces back to me because of a stone, wall, tree or whatever ...xD)

Ahh, I envy you people (That's why I've been lurking this thread for 4 days ;o)! This game sounds so cool... Too bad it won't be in the U.S. until like 2012. I planned on skipping WB/GB and waiting for this, but HMDS Cute, IoH, and RF2 can hardly stave off my farm needs now, much less for 2 years °×°
Lo, I digress...
I got some questions outta curiosity's sake...
-I know the weather can change mid-day, but does it differ in the two villages? Like, raining in Bluebell but sunny in Konohana (This make sense...? Haha♪)
-Does it take a long time to raise an animal's affection like in HMDS/Cute? If it does, Konohana will definantly be getting a new farmer!
-Do you get maker sheds in this game? ...I worship my seed maker... OvO
-(I didn't play SI so forgive me for asking this) What do you get from befriending wild animals?
-Do the trees take up 4 plots or just one? (Luhlz, I'm being dead serious here)
-Are there accesories in this game? i.e. truth bangle, friendship pendant, etc
-What exactly「does」the irragation system do? ^-^, Again, dead serious here...
Thanks to whoever has the saint like patience to answer these questions♪
(Hopefully my DSi browser will let me post)

I've got 4 questions:
1. Where can I get the fishing pole?
2. Where can I buy seeds in Konohana?
3. Are the quests from the villagers optional? Or do you have to them in order to progress the story line?

I can answer number 3 at least. Some of the requests get you your farm tools, house upgrades e.t.c.
I expect that some of them are optional, though if they are requirements for other quests to show up or anything else I really don't know

You can buy seeds in the house under the board, the one with the 'big' field. You get the fishing rod at the beginning of summer (I think it was the first day)
Uhm, here's an question of my own. The mayor of Konohana (I forget the name EVERY time!) came to me today (it's the 23rd of spring) and said something about the 23-30 and about bluebelle, uh, does anyone know what and wether it's important or not?

I believe she was telling you from the 23rd to the 30th you have the option of moving to Bluebell.

Ah, okay then, thank you for the help.
@Mikoto: The mayor might be telling you that you can move to Bluebell in between those dates, if you want to. But I cannot say for sure since I haven't gotten that far in my game. Oh, and the name of Konohana's mayor is Ilsa.

竹馬の友 is Kiriku's shop, not bamboo area.

Yeah, I figured that out and never updated it LOL. It's not terribly important what the translated names are anyway, you don't need to find the area, just choose it as an option when selecting the place you want to date. Thanks, though.

1. I got the fishing pole from Rudger (I was in Bluebell at the time) on the first (or second) of summer. It's not a request, he just gives it to you.
2. Seeds are bought from Gonbe. His house is directly below the Mayor's place. I know he starts selling them at 10 in the morning, but not sure when he stops. I'll be taking screenshots soon to show you where everything is in towns.
3. Most of them are optional, but you'll wanna do the specially coloured ones (Like pink and purple) because those get you special items and developments. Purple has something to do with the builder, either a house upgrade, or in one case, opening up a bit more of the tunnel, and pink is usually a tool of some kind.

Thank you, Rhea for the advice. That's all I needed to know. Thank you once again.

1. No, the weather is the same everywhere.
2. Actually, I got a heart with one of my cow during the first month (but i lost it because she became sick)
3. Yes you do. You can see the image of the seedmaker on the game's official site.
4. I don't know if its the same system as in SI, but in it, the animal found things for you. Ducks would find fishes, pigs mushrooms, etc
5. According to the image I saw, it looks like it.
6. No, there isn't any accessories (I think). The thing closest to this are the clothes
7. It lets you water all the crops that are "connected" to be watered when you water only one of them.
For example, on this image

You can see the field doing strange shapes (like an S or something)
You just water one of the crops, and all the other connected one will be watered.

Whenever you plow or water, you will move automatically in the next direction. Plow a piece of land and then when it moves you to another piece press the A button quickly and then you have 2 pieces of connected land!
