It exists! You get it from Sage as part of a quest. Ten snowballs and ten of those little pale blue flowers that only appear in winter.

My question!

I'm in Year 5. Found items in the woods are at 4-4.5 stars. After they reach 5 stars, will the quality go down again?

HI kira, happy to meet you again, I try with my knowledge, I'm sure not if go down, but possibly you can find variety star rank, if you in 6 year, you can find 0,5 star - 5 star, so the star is variety. If I'm not wrong.

Either way works, as long as it's a 3x3 square. By the way I'm pretty sure at this point that you don't need to water trees.

Here is my evidence for saying so.

I planted some tree seeds (orange, specifically) and watered them for a few days. At this point I did a 2-month fast forward and noticed the trees had developed and made fruit after 2 months of neglect.

I did a similar experiment with tea bushes; I planted some seeds and watered them for 2 days. I stopped watering one set but gave the other set water 2x a day until they matured. Both sets reached maturity on EXACTLY the same day.

So I never attempted to give any trees NO WATER, but some of them got very very little water, and that was only when they were first planted, and still developed fine.

EDIT: 100% positive you don't need to water any tree at any time.

I am going to stop watering all my trees from now on. Since they can't be part of irrigation it's quite a stamina drain to water them.

So, after a lot of experimenting, I have come to the conclusion that every .5 stars after the first costs more bottles of fertilizer and happens more slowly. I have managed to get most of my crops up to 1.5 or 2 stars now, in Year 6.

The easiest to level up are the long term crops- my soybeans are now up to 3 stars- because they take a long time to grow and you can fertilze them many times. The hardest are short term/fast growth crops like spinach, because you only get five days to cover them in fertilizer.

I tried to move to Bluebell after I'd expanded my Konohana house, but Ilsa wouldn't let me, I guess because I'm pregnant? Has anyone tried moving into their smaller house after having a kid?

Thanks!

So does that mean that for fast-growing crops, you'll want to use multiple bottles in smaller irrigation systems, or just that you have to be really diligent in replacing them once they're depleted?

I'm honestly not sure. I managed to work out long term crops over the last two seasons but I'm still trying to nail things down with short-term crops.

Heh, I should go post all these new findings to my own thread eventually. Right now I'm just trying to find new images/hosts for it. =/

Yes, it's because you're pregnant. Once you have the baby, she will let you move but she will charge you 1,500,000G because you will need to upgrade the other house.

Curses. I knew I shouldn't upgrade my house until I'd saved up enough for my Bluebell expansions, but I got impatient. =/ Oh well, I should have enough by the time money piles up to do enough.

Question about the child, though: is it like animal death? Or will resets on the day you give birth actually give you a chance to get a different gender? (I really want a girl...)

I didn't test it myself but I read somewhere that you CAN choose the gender by reloading the day of the birth. I know for sure that it's determined sometime after conception, not before like in Sunshine Islands.

1.5 million is a lot isn't it?? I'm so grumpy about it. I really want the UFO cart and I finally got the quest for it, but I can barely save for the Bluebell house so it's hard to imagine ever having 19 million for the UFO. u_u

It's not a lot to me, actually. ^_^;; Maybe two seasons of work for 1.5 million? If you're having trouble making money with your Konohana farm- I'm really not sure how Bluebell farmers make any money- please check out my Konohana Team thread, I posted again today about increasing crop levels. Especially when you hit the watermelons in summer, you can make money very fast.

Also, I have another question about the pregnancy. Do you happen to remember how long it is? I've been pregnant for almost two months, it's starting to become annoying and it seems like my husband changed our date schedule in the second month.

Eh, it's not a lot for me in the summer, but any other time it's quite difficult to pull out a million. Watermelons are indeed lovely. I only juuuust got the seed maker so I've been relying on half-star seeds thus far. >_<

The pregnancy lasted 2 months on the dot for me. You're due soon then!

Ah! So you were right, and I keep having my baby- and it keeps coming out a boy! D: I really had my heart set on a girl, but I've reset 20 times now and it's been a boy every time. I think I'm doomed... T_T

Anyway, once you get to the winter time, as we say in the MMORPG business, spam the blue roses! I find that some flowers are a really good investment, particularly roses, they sell very handsomely when their quality is raised.

In fall, green peppers aren't in any cooking recipes, so once you've gotten the seeds they're purely money machines. And of course in spring there's strawberries, which are a much better investment than cucumbers, though you need to stockpile cucumbers and potatoes for recipes if you haven't unlocked the tunnel yet.

I think by the end of Year 6, I should be able to rake in 2 million a season easily, maybe 4 in summer, but I'm dumping 99,000g on fertilizer every season, I don't think most people will be that nutty about it.
