Basket?

Okay, I'm really psyched for this game; a month feels like forever for waiting, so I've been looking at loads of gameplay videos from the Japanese version, and I've seen something weird that I can't figure out.

This...basket thing. It sits outside of your house, doing...nothing? I've seen people throw bugs in it. I can't imagine it ships things? Is it a garbage can? I've only seen bugs thrown in it, so I've got NO IDEA what it does.

I'd like to know before I actually HAVE the game, simply because, well, that's why I'm looking at the videos; to learn how to play it before I get the game. XD

I think it's like a bug keeper thing. Kinda like the pond for fish in HMDS Emphasis on the think, though. Yes, I am very helpful. :/

Oh yes, I've had it reserved for like ever!

I've never seen anything come OUT of the basket, though, so it leaves me curious...

I think it actually may be a basket similar to other games. Only this time, when you throw stuff into it it goes into your warehouse. I'm pretty sure that's what happens.

But there were no bugs in the warehouse......just like food and stuff......I dunno, I guess I'll watch it again to be sure. XD

Yeah, that's what I meant. The bugs don't go into the warehouse. Once you catch them, they appear in little box things and you put them in your rucksack. Items you throw into the basket will appear in your warehouse.

Basket=warp panel to warehouse

NOT
Basket=fancy trash can
NOT
Basket=mini "Insect House"(like at the zoo)

...But I still wouldn't advise trying to jump in there.

Ive saw a youtube video where this person is harvesting his turnips and throwing it in.

i haave a question. do u automaticaly have the basket in the begining? or do u have to buy it from raul (mucho)?

So you throw all your stuff into it, and it goes to the warehouse to be stored. THAT makes sense. But what's all this about the bugs? They DON'T go in there, right? But the first post said that the bugs were getting thrown in there and that was all they had seen. So if the bugs don't go into the warehouse, why are they being thrown into the basket/are they going somewhere else? o.O

And when the items go into the warehouse, it'll keep them fresh for longer right? Are there baskets all over your farm, like how the shipping bin was in front of your house, in your barn, AND in your chicken coop (like in (M)FoMT) or is there just the one bin like in IOH? (Yes, I understand it isn't a shipping bin, but a warehouse teleporting device XD But is there more than one?)

there is only one basket. like in mfomt and dscute u can carry it around.
i dont know if u can bring into the house and barn, but that could be useful. and u
MAY be able to remove it from the farm, but ive never seen it. i dont understand why not though. And i dont know about the bugs ive seen every youtube video on this game and ive never seen that

I've seen bugs in the warehouse before; they have a freshness rating like anything else, so I don't see why they couldn't go in there....
[If you're still confused, you catch the bug and it goes in a little cage, and it then can do whatever, ie be sold, stored, gifted, etc...]

Ohhh, alright, I think I understand now ^^ Thank you guys I'm still a tiny bit fuzzy on it, but I suppose it'll just have to be a surprise for when the game is released and I can discover ;D
