Character Development/Events

Does anyone know how that'll work/if they're a lot of them?
I'm talking about any sort of heart event, random event, contests, holidays, etc.
Are they worse or better than previous games-and how so?
To me, this aspect of HM is a biggy. Though I'm also big on how much fun exploring the area is.
I appreciate any help. :3

Here's what I've been able to research:
Each marriagable guy/girl has 4 heart scenes apiece.
There are scenes for each rival couple (possibly 4 as well?).
There are between 3 and 5 festivals per season (check RanchStory for details).
The heart scenes for marriageable characters are pretty cute~ ^_^ You get to choose an option of something to say in the end that determines if you gain/lose LP with the character (just like in HM:DS).
In terms of festivals, some are interactive, which is nice, and the idea of having a festival span over multiple days (Flower Festival) is something new and interesting. I think the biggest "festival", though, is the weekly bazaars.
I've yet to run across any random events, but it's definitely possible that there are some.
Overall, I'd say it's about the same as most of the portable games, but less in-depth than the console ones. ^_^

Oi. ;w;'
It doesn't sound horrible, but you said it lacks depth to the wii games-which is what I sort of feared. >w>; I'm big on the quality and complexity of the characters, plot, etc.
At least the graphics are nicer than previous DS games, though. =w=

DS/C has about 100 random events and SI has a paltry 33. xD IoH has almost none... there isn't really any sort of middle ground with the other DS games. So that would probably round up to 46 random events.

If WB has that many, that would be pretty sweet.
And Zuri, only the OLD console HM games have any real complexity and depth sadly. xD AWL and older if you want that sort of thing is what I'd suggest.

Eh, I can't manage to get any of those, however. >w>;
Ah well. |D;
