Um...just a quick question about preordering HM: Grand Bazaar. If I preorder it, will I be sure to get it when it's scheduled for release? I've never ordered a game online before, so I'm not sure how this works. I don't want to order it and then have to wait even longer to buy the game, when I could have just went to buy it instore.

Also, if any Canadians reading this...will I be able to get the horse plushie at EB Games as well? It's not a big deal, I'm just curious. XD I remember for Sunshine Islands, I got the chicken plushie at walmart, so...

If you pre-order it, it will ship to you at the same time it ships to all of the game stores. When it gets to you depends on which shipping speed you paid for.

For example, I pre-ordered GB from Gamestop.com and paid for one-day shipping, meaning that if the game is released on August 24 (the current release date, apparently), I should get it August 25 (I think).

Actually, if you pre-order online, the game usually ships to the store's (i.e. GameStop's) warehouses before it gets shipped to the customer. I don't think the games ever ship from Natsume (or wherever they're made) directly to the customer. So even if you choose overnight shipping, you might have to wait a day or two after the release/ship date before the game ships to you.

I think that's how it worked when I ordered SI online - the games were shipped from Natsume on shipping day, but my game shipped to me from Kentucky a day or two after that. And if you're in Canada, it might take a little longer than for people in America.

Yeah, I know they go through gamestop first, I was just wondering how fast you would get them after the release date (by then they would already be with gamestop, not Natsume). And I would order it from the Canadian gamestop site, meaning it would ship from Canada, so it should take the same amount of time as it would for an American (again, Gamestop Canada would already have the games, they would just wait for the release date to ship them). :3

But the "release date" is actually the day that the games will be shipped to stores and warehouses, so if they're shipped on August 24th, the stores and warehouses might not get them until the 25th or 26th, or maybe not even until the 27th. So the earliest the game will be shipped to you (assuming the dates don't get pushed back again) is probably the 25th, which means you could get it by the 26th if you pay for overnight/one-day shipping.

Just want to make sure you know. (: (And, of course, I'm just estimating these dates, so it could be earlier or later.)

It mostly just depends on shipping. If the shipping day is the 24th, then stores will probably have it by the 25th. But sometimes there are problems with transportation and all that, so the dates are subjective. Just call before you go in to pick it up that way you don't make an unnecessary trip.
